“Trump Can Speed Up the Inevitable in Ukraine.”
Rather shockingly, none other than the New York Times, the Dems’ long-term cheerleader, has admitted what is glaringly apparent to everyone else … in particular those who have a modicum of respect for human life.
Especially as hundreds of thousands of those lives have been senselessly lost on both sides of the ongoing Russia-Ukraine War.
In a scathing opinion piece, guest columnist Megan K. Stack confidently expressed a well-supported opinion that will undoubtedly receive major backlash.
“President-elect Donald Trump is inheriting a blood-soaked war in Ukraine. He has pledged to put a swift end to the carnage,” Stack began.
Sadly, a conflict that was easily preventable.
As exhaustively explained by foreign policy expert John Mearsheimer ten years ago, quite a few action undertaken by the Obama administration most definitely provoked Putin into conflict.
Rather chillingly, Mearsheimer’s predictions definitely ring true today.
Which is precisely why the New York Times, of all publications, has finally permitted opinion pieces that make a semblance of sense.
“If Mr. Trump follows … advice and pushes Ukraine into talks that result in lost territory, his political rivals as well as hawks in his own party will accuse him of abandoning Ukraine and rewarding Vladimir Putin’s hunger for expansion,” Stack writes.
Indeed. A lose-lose for Trump politically … though a win-win for the world in reality.
A sentiment with which Stack clearly concurs.
“Mr. Trump should do it anyway,” Stack baldly declared.
Cue the liberal hysteria.
Mind you, the hysteria would most definitely come from champagne socialists who would never dream of sending their own children to fight in the ongoing war.
The same champagne socialists apparently have no issue with far less “privileged” individuals dying.
“Dozens of people, and often hundreds, are dying every day in this grinding war. Mr. Trump should seize the chance to save lives. Nobody is coming to save Ukraine. A settlement will eventually be needed,” Stack declared.
Mere “collateral damage” to the likes of Biden’s globalist puppet masters.
Who know darn well that the only guarantee in the ongoing war is their continued enrichment … at the expense of everyone else.
Especially as Ukraine has no hope of winning the war, barring direct American involvement.
“Despite flashes of spectacular success by Ukrainian forces, the Russian position has gradually strengthened, and there is no reason to expect Mr. Putin to lose the upper hand now. That may sound like defeatism, but it’s also realism,” Stack continued.
Ah, realism.
Otherwise known as the most sensible international relations policy, which is most definitely embraced by the planet’s most rapidly growing economies … and populations.
Stack also notes how Ukraine “managed to capture a few hundred square miles of Russian territory in Kursk last August,” though Russia is “slowly clawing the land back,” especially with the aid of 50,000 troops, among them 10,000 North Koreans.
On the other hand, “Ukraine is scrambling to find soldiers,” using incredibly questionable means of doing so.
Stack’s statements are well-supported with multiple reports in the British media, including liberal publications such as The Guardian and the BBC.
On top of that, equity has apparently flown out the window (not that it was ever a priority in Ukraine), given that brutal conscription officers, notorious for yanking men out of bars to serve as cannon fodder, “preferred to operate in poorer districts, where it was easier to catch evaders,” as reported by The Guardian.
And while Zelensky has impractically asserted “that Ukraine would fight until every bit of soil was liberated from Russian occupation,” Stack notes that he has become “more realistic, or at least resigned.”
Indeed, Stack later notes that at least 1,000,000 have died, with death rates now outpacing birth rates in Ukraine.
The hard, cold “facts” that Dems don’t like to admit.
So, as a result, even Zelensky is now focused on “international security guarantees” … which are also a great problem.
“The truly intractable problem is Mr. Zelensky’s demand that the West protect Ukraine from future Russian attacks by providing what diplomats euphemistically call ‘security guarantees.’ In practice, Ukraine wants its military rebuilt and strengthened (that part will be easy to get) and also, crucially and controversially, an immediate invitation to join NATO,” Stack noted.
Which is basically a guarantee for World War III.
Indeed, how exactly would any American president, at least a pro-America president, respond to Russian bases in Cuba? Or Mexico? Or Canada?
Not well … with the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962 being a case in point.
“On that point alone, talks could collapse,” Stack noted.
Indeed, they would. Which even bungling Biden knows.
“Even President Biden – who purports to be Ukraine’s greatest defender – has said that he wouldn’t support the ‘NATOization of Ukraine,’” Stack continued.
And why should he? Frankly, Ukraine, along with Russia, routinely rank as some of the most corrupt nations on the planet … well below several African and Latin American nations.
Indeed, even in the most recent listing, Ukraine is still frighteningly low, ranking well below the likes of Cuba and South Africa.
Heck, Ukraine even ranks lower than Belarus … an avowed Russian ally.
So, naturally, any sensible nation would be a tad leery of allowing a highly corrupt nation to join NATO.
“Of course, the United States is leery of Ukraine joining NATO: If we were willing to go to war with Russia to save Ukraine, we’d be doing so right now. If the United States truly wanted Ukraine to win at all costs, it would send troops,” Stack continued.
Well, of course Ukraine can’t “win.” How else could weapons manufacturers endlessly profiteer? How else could lifelong politicians distract from serious domestic crises?
“Nobody sensible – this writer included – wants to risk igniting a direct war between the nuclear-armed nemeses Russia and the United States,” Stack added.
A shame that no one “sensible” appears to be in power now.
Stack also notes that she’s been covering Ukraine for at least seventeen years now, seeing the same cycle of violence play out over and over again.
“America is not going to save Ukraine. Maybe we need Mr. Trump – brazen and unscrupulous – to finally say so out loud and act accordingly,” Stack asserted.
Seriously. Especially considering the real human toll of “Biden’s” brutal foreign policies.
“This bleak landscape contains the most extreme and tragic results of the power games that have been played out mercilessly on Ukrainian soil by greater powers. Both Russia and the United States have for decades exploited Ukraine’s internal divisions to undermine each other and jockey for regional influence, usually at the expense of ordinary Ukrainians,” Stack intoned.
Have they ever. Though this time, the ramifications may well be nuclear.
