If the FBI thinks it can operate just like the KGB in Russia, think again.
That’s the effective message sent by Trump’s legal team regarding the utterly unprecedented, highly dramatized raid on Mar-A-Lago, which effectively treated a former president as if he were the leader of a Taliban.
Except Biden actually empowered the Taliban with billions in American military equipment, not to mention with free reign to take over an entire nation in which the United States had sunk untold sums of money.
Regardless, Trump’s legal team has officially put the FBI on notice, chiefly by filing a motion seeking independent review of records seized by the agency.
Trump declared that his team filed the motion in defense of his rights, “including under the Fourth Amendment of our Constitution, regarding the unnecessary, unwarranted, and unAmerican Break-In by dozens of FBI agents, and others, of my home, Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach, Florida.”
Pretty amazing that a former president has to remind the current administration about what the Fourth Amendment even is, especially since the current administration is all too eager to blither on about the rights of BLM and other criminal organizations.
“The wrongful, overbroad warrant was signed by a Magistrate Judge who recused himself just two months ago, from a MAJOR civil suit that I filed, because of his bias and animus toward me,” Trump wrote, drawing convenient attention to the Judge Bruce Reinhart’s notorious connection to Bill Gates’s buddy, Jeffrey Epstein.
“This Mar-a-Lago Break-In, Search, and Seizure was illegal and unconstitutional, and we are taking all actions necessary to get the documents back, which we would have given to them without the necessity of the despicable raid of my home, so that I can give them to the National Archives until they are required for the future Donald J. Trump Presidential Library and Museum,” Trump added.
And the media will publicize none of that, just like the media won’t publicize all the fruit that keeps falling from Special Counsel John Durham’s tree regarding the Russiagate investigation, including multiple connection to the Clinton camp.
Trump’s statements were also affirmed by the motion itself, which pointed out the utterly unlawful actions taken by the FBI.
“According to the Government, the agents seized documents, privileged and/or potentially privileged materials, and other items – including photos, handwritten notes, and even President Trump’s passports – that were outside the lawful reach of an already over broad warrant,” the motion declared.
In addition to the insane seizure of Trump’s passports, the FBI also engaged in other absurd actions, such as effectively asking for permission to plant evidence.
“They demanded that the security cameras be turned off, a request we rightfully denied. They prevented my attorneys from observing what was being taken in the raid, saying ‘absolutely not,’” Trump continued, “they took documents covered by attorney-client and executive privilege, which is not allowed. They took my passports. They even brought a ‘safe cracker’ and successfully broke into my personal safe, which revealed…nothing!”
So, the same White House that demands cops wear body cams at all times suddenly wants the FBI to turn the cameras OFF when ransacking a former president’s prior home?
Yeah, that’s about the size of it.
Defend the criminals, and destroy any political competition. Straight to banana republic status with this administration.
Which is precisely why the motion is so crucial.
Not only is this motion a step in defense of Trump, but also in defense of all Americans who may find themselves rather abruptly searched for no reason, aside from holding the wrong political beliefs or refusing to kowtow to the Democrat party line.
“Law enforcement is a shield that protects Americans. It cannot be used as a weapon for political purposes,” the motion continues. “Therefore, we seek judicial assistance in the aftermath of an unprecedented and unnecessary raid on President Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.”
One can only hope that real justice is achieved, and not obscured.
