Hospital Exec Blasts Sanctuary State’s “Weaponization” Of Hospital System

Governor Kathy Hochul sure has made waves ever since she took over one of the nation’s most infamous sanctuary states – New York.

Hochul, who famously came to power following the sudden ousting of former Governor Andrew Cuomo, has now found herself to be the direct target of litigation by someone else “ousted.”

This time, however, the ousted individual is a healthcare executive who is quite irate over the state’s overt meddling in the healthcare system, per a startling report from the New York Post.

Meg Ryan, the “ousted CEO” of Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC), is irate with all the actions undertaken by Governor Kathy Hochul amid the apparent “hostile takeover” of various hospitals.

For reference, these types of “hostile takeovers” – when the government takes over a private industry or private company – are far more common in communist regimes than allegedly capitalist nations.

Then again, what else is to be expected from Hochul, who notoriously bragged about the “amazing” partnership that New York has with China, a full-blown communist state?

In fact, Hochul went as far as to boast about working “collaboratively” with China … and that may well include the increased intrusion of the government into the deeply beleaguered healthcare sector.

And sure, Hochul decided to publicly go against China by launching an investigation into a Chinese consulate in New York – an investigation that has generated few headlines ever since Hochul’s abrupt announcement – but she sure has not exactly acted in a manner that inspires innovative market solutions.

Since the Democrats are sliding even closer towards becoming full-blown communists – especially in sanctuary states such as New York and California – it is not terribly surprising to see increased meddling in the private sector.

Almost as if this meddling is a response to broader federal efforts to reduce bureaucracy … and then professionals like Ryan are caught in the crossfire.

Especially if removing Ryan from her position means that the state can apparently pay bills that it was apparently unable – or unwilling – to pay.

Per Ryan, one of the reasons underlying her ouster was the fact that the state was set to stick NUMC with Medicaid bills … bills that the state was apparently responsible for paying.

That said, given that New York bureaucrats appear to balance budgets about as effectively as their colleagues in California, the apparent inability of the state to pay for Medicaid bills should come as no surprise.

Little wonder that many students decline to repay their loans … after all, the politicians that many of them vote for tend to “pass the buck” onwards themselves.

Including Hochul, apparently, as Ryan charges that the governor spearheaded an “illicit scheme” to have NUMC foot enormous Medicaid costs in which the state was responsible.

Of course, NUMC was in the private sector prior to Hochul’s sudden weaponization of the hospital system … Which meant that the company may well have had more financial reserves than the government of New York, which is quite notorious for its profligate spending.

Naturally, the scheme is even more “illicit” when considering who Hochul put in Ryan’s place – various cronies, including Richard Becker, Stuart Rabinowitz, and Richard Kessel.

And those individuals reported “acted deliberately and with malice” through not only terminating Ryan, but also denying her severance and salary payments.

Which is precisely why Ryan, a seasoned executive in the private sector, has zero issues with barreling straight to the media with regards to her forthcoming lawsuit against Hochul.

“They weaponized the Department of Health and the state budget process to take over our community hospital and then leaked misinformation to the press to damage me personally. It is unconscionable,” Ryan fumed.

Indeed, it is.

Not to mention incredibly brazen … After all, why on earth would Hochul think it would be such a great idea for the state to undertake such a “hostile takeover” in the first place?

To provide more “free” healthcare to the hordes of migrants that woke politicians have represented more effectively than Americans?

To provide freebies to her crony buddies, including her multiple associates who have apparently taken over Ryan’s position?

Frankly, it’s rather telling that Hochul has to replace one female executive with several of her so-called “allies.”

A rather compelling argument for DOGE, to put it mildly.

Not to mention a compelling case for Ryan, who is eager to face off with Hochul in New York.

“I am eager to have my day in court and fight not only to clear my name but further expose the state’s corruption,” Ryan confidently proclaimed.

Quite a few Americans quite concerned with rampant corruption are looking forward to Ryan’s day in court as well.
