Lindsey Graham Lays Down The Law

Senator Lindsey Graham remarked over the weekend that abortion should remain a decision at the state level, rather than the federal level.

The Republican senator also noted that abortion rights simply do not “exist” anywhere in the Constitution during an appearance on “Fox News Sunday.”

“The public has been divided since 1973,” Graham declared, in reference to the landmark Roe v. Wade decision.

Roe v. Wade created a constitutional right that [does not] exist in the written constitution,” Graham remarked.

“It’s created division from the first day it was decided until now,” the senator added.

Graham also remarked that Congress would certainly remain “involved” in developments that will unfold from the potentially imminent overturn of the infamous 1973 decision.

The senator noted that different states will take an array of different approaches, which means that the abortion debate is not set to vanish in the near-future.

Instead, “it will be decided by the people, not a handful of judges.”

Graham also observed that the United States remains one of the only countries in the world that permits “abortion on demand at 20 weeks,” which is also “the fifth month in pregnancy.”

“If you [do not] like the outcome of the abortion debate … you can kick people out of office who actually vote,” Graham remarked.

Graham emphasized the lack of justice when a handful of judges “determined when life begins and how it ends,” which is widely perceived as “wrong from the start.”

As far as the impact the Court decision will have on midterm elections, Graham believes that the economy will be far more important for most Americans, particularly when accounting for prices at the gas stations and grocery stores.

Per Graham, the elevated prices and general supply chain shortages illuminate “the incompetence of the Biden administration.” Moreover, the ongoing crisis at the border does not enhance the popularity of the Biden administration.
