When President Donald Trump takes office, he does not stop until he rectifies every possible wrong that can be rectified within a very short time frame.
Outside of illegal migration and increasingly unstable political situations, an enormous wrong that Trump has long since sought to correct relates to a militant transgender ideology that has spread throughout multiple aspects of American life.
Not only has this ideology polluted schools, but it has also polluted the military.
A real problem, considering how profound – and senseless – this disruption truly is.
After all, within the military, transgender ideology poses a direct threat to mission readiness.
Hence Trump’s executive order abolishing transgenderism from the military.
The order – “Prioritizing Military Excellence and Readiness” – makes it abundantly clear that such radical, gender-based ideologies have no place in one of the most critical areas of the nation’s operations.
“The United States military has a clear mission: to protect the American people and our homeland as the world’s most lethal and effective fighting force,” the order declared.
A mission that is totally subverted by radical transgender ideology.
Which is why the executive order also notes that “success in this existential mission requires a singular focus on developing the requisite warrior ethos,” while “the pursuit of military excellence cannot be diluted to accommodate political agendas or other ideologies harmful to unit cohesion.”
Ironically, the push for transgenderism in the military actually violates the longstanding policies of the Department of Defense (DoD) itself, as noted in the executive order.
Specifically, the order cites a longstanding DoD policy, in which individuals enlisting for the military are to be “[f]ree of medical conditions or physical defects that may reasonably be expected to require excessive time lost from duty for necessary treatment or hospitalization.”
Thus, in alignment with longstanding polices at the DoD, “expressing a false ‘gender identity’ divergent from an individual’s sex cannot satisfy the rigorous standards necessary for military service.”
Moreover, such a “gender identity” is also quite costly to American taxpayers.
Apparently, the Pentagon has also blown at least $15M on transgender surgeries since 2016, with $11.5M allocated to psychotherapy and $3.1M allocated to nearly 250 gender reassignment surgeries.
Bearing in mind that the Pentagon frequently fails audits to the tune of multiple billions of dollars, it would not be surprising at all if far more funds than $15M had been allocated.
“Beyond the hormonal and surgical medical interventions involved, adoption of a gender identity inconsistent with an individual’s sex conflicts with a soldier’s commitment to an honorable, truthful, and disciplined lifestyle, even in one’s personal life,” the order continued.
Words certain to send Democrats into a rage.
Of course, two LGBTQ legal organizations have already filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration, according to a report from NBC News.
And, rather hilariously, the lawsuits are claiming that Trump is avoiding “merit-based” practices when banning transgender militants.
Jennifer Levi, the current senior director of transgender and queer rights at GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders (GLAD Law), hilariously ranted and raved about “merit” that she suddenly claims to care about.
“This ban betrays fundamental American values of equal opportunity and judging people on their merit,” Levi ranted.
Right.
After years and years of the Biden-Harris administration’s shameless push for DEI madness, especially for transgenders and illegal migrants, it should come as no surprise whatsoever that Trump’s order is a return to merit-based sense, rather than DEI-based madness.
Now that’s a “transition” that everyone with sense can welcome.
