Lo and behold, none other than Liz Cheney is at it again.
That’s right: Ms. Cheney, who has done far more favors for Dems than Republicans in recent times, has apparently decided it’s a swell idea to come out swinging … against Republicans.
As if her nonstop “assistance” during the Dems’ “impeachment” against Trump wasn’t bad enough.
After all, her unilateral hatred of Trump is precisely why she blew off all her constituents, most of whom supported Trump, and chased after an ill-begotten impeachment proceeding instead.
Tellingly, Ms. Cheney does not seem nearly as enthusiastic about impeaching Mr. Biden, whose antics really are a clear and ever-present threat to national security.
At least she certainly hasn’t publicly demanded impeachment for Biden as she has for Trump.
Perhaps because Biden is a good old-fashioned warmonger, just the way RINOs like it.
Regardless, Cheney has emerged from the woodwork yet again, apparently enraged that former President Donald Trump is soaring to the top of the polls once again.
I don’t look at it through the lens of, you know, is this what I should do or what I shouldn’t do …I look at it through the lens of, how do we elect serious people? And I think electing serious people can’t be partisan. What we’ve done in our politics is create a situation where we’re electing idiots,” Cheney raged.
You don’t say, Ms. Cheney.
A rather ironic remark, on a number of levels.
Cheney then insisted that the future of the nation apparently literally depends on Trump not being elected.
“Look, I think that the country right now faces hugely challenging and fundamentally important issues … Because of the situation that we’re in, where we have a major-party candidate who’s trying to unravel our democracy – and I don’t say that lightly – we have to think about, all right, what kinds of alliances are necessary to defeat him, and those are the alliances we’ve got to build across party lines,” Cheney continued, endlessly ranting away over Trump.
In a word … Wow.
So, Ms. Cheney is totally and completely preoccupied with “what kind of alliances are necessary” in order to beat Trump.
Is she serious? Is she actually serious?
Despite everything going on in the government right now, including a continued series of attacks against her own supposed party, Cheney really thinks that targeting Trump is the most important, “fundamental” issue for the nation to address?
Get real!
And, as if her ludicrous point couldn’t be made any more clearly, Cheney baldly announced her total and complete antipathy towards Trump.
“I really believe, and I’ve never believed something as strongly as I know this, that the single most important thing for the country is that Donald Trump can’t be anywhere near the Oval Office again,” Cheney brayed.
Actually, Ms. Cheney, the “single most important thing” for the nation is national security, especially now, given that Biden has effectively sold that attribute down the river to the highest bidder.
