Donald J. Trump has recently issued a statement affirming his full support of Representative Byron Donalds (R-FL) in his campaign for re-election. Trump’s announcement arrives shortly after he hosted a major Christmas event within Donalds’s district.
“Congressman Byron Donalds has been a terrific advocate for the people of Florida and our Country,” Trump proclaimed in his statement, which was released by Save America, his political action committee.
Trump added that Byron is a fierce advocate for education, as well as “a defender of the Second Amendment.” In addition, Byron is also “dedicated to low taxes and a strong economy” as he “fights to protect [the nation’s] border.”
Moreover, Byron “believes that America should be Energy Independent,” another major cornerstone of the Trump administration.
“He is a supporter of our America First policies,” Trump continued, adding that Donalds has an acute understanding of “the importance of [the nation’s] Great Vets and values,” as well as “[the country’s] important Military men and women.”
“Byron is working hard for our Country every day,” Trump concluded, “he has my complete and total endorsement!”
Trump also endorsed Donalds in 2020 due to the representative’s aforementioned values, and the appreciation is clearly mutual.
Donalds replied to Trump’s latest endorsement, declaring, “Thank you, POTUS Trump, for your ENDORSEMENT and your unwavering support.”
The representative continued onward to note that Americans have tired of “America Last policies” that have been widely promoted by the Biden-Harris administration, which leads many to “undoubtedly miss [Trump’s] American First policies.”
Byron added that he will always defend “the forgotten men and women of our nation.”
At last week’s event in Naples, Florida, Trump took a photo with Donalds and his wife Erika. Donalds had been one of several Florida House Delegates who voted against the certification of Biden’s electoral college victory.
“[My wife] and I loved having President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump in Southwest Florida,” Donalds noted, “Merry Christmas to all, and God Bless America.”
