Kamala’s New Memoir Exposes Democratic Party Turmoil

Kamala Harris has written a new book, and it pulls back the curtain on just how divided the Democratic Party really is. Titled “107 Days,” her memoir tells the story of her short campaign after Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 race. But it does more than just tell her side—it points fingers at many of her fellow Democrats. The result is a picture of a party in disarray, torn by ambition, mistrust, and weak leadership.

Let’s start with Joe Biden. Harris calls his decision to run again in 2024 “reckless.” She says it wasn’t that he couldn’t lead—it’s that he was old and tired. She blames his debate disaster on exhaustion from travel and fundraising. While she tries to be respectful, the message is clear: Biden should never have run again. That’s a serious charge from someone who served as his vice president.

Then there’s Gavin Newsom, the governor of California. Harris says that when she called him after Biden dropped out, he didn’t even return her call. She later notes he endorsed her, but the damage was done. This shows how even long-time allies in the Democratic Party can’t count on one another when it matters most.

Harris also took aim at Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro. All of them hesitated to endorse her right away. Instead of standing strong and united, they waited to see which way the wind was blowing. That kind of political cowardice doesn’t help a party that claims to fight for the people.

Harris’s comments about Pete Buttigieg, her so-called “close friend,” were especially revealing. She said she didn’t pick him as her running mate because she thought the country wouldn’t accept a ticket with both a Black woman and a gay man. That’s not just insulting to Americans—it’s an odd excuse from someone who claims to fight for equality. Buttigieg said they never had that conversation, and he believes Americans would have supported them. Once again, we’re left with confusion and finger-pointing.

Josh Shapiro, another rising Democrat, didn’t escape Harris’s criticism either. She said he was too ambitious to be her vice president, and that he asked too many questions about power, perks, and appearances. She even scolded him for getting caught by CNN’s cameras outside her home. That may seem petty, but it paints a picture of a party more focused on image than leadership.

Finally, Harris talks about Arizona Senator Mark Kelly. She praises him as a hero and a good man, but says he hasn’t faced real political heat yet. She also didn’t like that he was slow to support a labor bill. That’s her reason for not choosing him as a running mate. Again, it’s more about politics than principle.

What we see in this memoir is not leadership. We see a party full of people who don’t trust each other, who hesitate when it counts, and who care more about ambition than service. Harris may have meant to defend herself, but what she’s really done is show us why the Democratic Party is falling apart.

While President Trump leads with strength and clarity, the Democrats are busy pointing fingers. They can’t seem to agree on anything—not even who they trust to lead. This isn’t just bad politics. It’s dangerous for the country.

In 1787, our Founders created a system built on strong leadership, clear values, and accountability. What we see from today’s Democrats is the opposite—hidden agendas, selfish ambition, and backroom deals. Harris’s book may be honest, but it’s also a warning.

America deserves better. We need leaders who will stand on principle, not just chase power. And right now, only one party is ready to do that.
