Dems Rage Over Devastating Ratings

Recent poll results have revealed that the Democrat Party is not only becoming progressively more concerned about a wide array of ongoing crises, but also about the spiraling approval ratings for President Joe Biden.

Per some views, these negative developments may not dissipate in time for the 2022 midterm elections.

According to the results of the NBC News poll, Biden’s approval rating sank to 40 percent, the lowest level yet.

Of the respondents, 71 percent demonstrated a lack of confidence in Biden’s ability to effectively deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s ongoing war in Ukraine.

In addition, only 33 percent of respondents approve of how Biden has handled the pandemic.

Democrat Representative Annie Kuster informed Axios that many “are extremely discouraged,” while her Democrat colleague, Representative Susan Wild, remarked that “it’s always … [concerning] when the president’s numbers are bad and you’re in the same party.”

Wild also noted that in her “frontline” district, which falls in Pennsylvania, tends to vote based upon the work that representatives have achieved.

“[My constituents] also know that I don’t always vote in line with the party,” Wild added.

Representatives Kuster and Wild constitute part of the New Democrat Coalition, whose members recently met with the president in order to urge action on multiple crises, including gas prices, supply chains, budget reconciliation, and inflation.

Democrat Representative Josh Gottheimer informed Axios that these issues constitute a serious “alarm bell” that calls for “bipartisan solutions,” where the House should be focusing its efforts.

Noting that Biden talked at length about the need for solutions during his recent State of the Union address, Gottheimer argues, “now we have to get it done.”

Moderate Democrats are seeking solutions from the president, but progressives declare that Biden has exacerbated the various crises by refusing to fully embrace their agenda.

According to self-proclaimed progressive Mondaire Jones, Americans are ostensibly dissatisfied with the president because of “the lack of progress” made on what he deems to be important issues, including “stopping subsidies” and “cancelling student debt.”
