“DEI must DIE!”
Leave it to X/Tesla/SpaceX CEO Elon Musk to issue such a bold pronouncement, including a rather humorous rearrangement of the letters “D,” “E,” and “I.”
And, unsurprisingly, leave it to the media to rant and rave over Musk’s alleged privilege and racism.
Especially when no entity seems to inflame racial tensions quite the same way that ultra-liberal media and its political talking heads do.
That said, Musk is highly unlikely to back down from any media criticism, and he has demonstrated explicit support for fellow billionaire Bill Ackman, who hounded Harvard until its DEI president finally resigned.
In response to a 4,000-word post that Ackman wrote on the matter, Musk further doubled down on his support for Ackman.
“DEI is just another word for racism. Shame on anyone who uses it,” Musk responded.
Indeed, it is. Especially as the “E” stands for “equity,” not opportunity, which is a total subversion of the American Dream.
Via the American Dream, everyone has equal opportunity to succeed, though the outcomes may be different, depending on individual effort and a host of other factors.
Equity, on the other hand, stresses the importance of equal outcomes, regardless of what the individual did or did not do to earn the outcome they receive.
Equity, in other words, is akin to communism, in which everyone becomes the “same.”
Though some especially militant liberals may get special treatment, including former Harvard President Claudine Gay.
While she may have finally left her post, blaming “racism” of course, she is apparently still on the payroll for upwards of $900,000 per year to continue spewing her hate and indoctrination in so-called “political science” classes.
As if there is any “science” or “logic” underlying Dems’ increasingly unbridled hatred.
Needless to say, Musk and Ackman’s views are not exactly shared by other woke billionaires, especially those who preen for the masses and ingratiate themselves in woke streaming shows.
Like Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, who has not exactly demonstrated “DEI” in his football teams but sure has zero qualms about ranting and raving about DEI to Musk.
Cuban, who may well be a closeted communist, actually had the gall to proclaim that so-called equity constitutes “a core principle of business.”
Yeah, provided that Cuban maintains his billionaire status, of course.
“Good businesses look where others don’t, to find the employees that will put your business in the best possible position to succeed,” Cuban pompously brayed, “You may not agree, but I take it as a given that there are people of various races, ethnicities, orientation, etc. that are regularly excluded from hiring consideration.”
Great point, Mr. Cuban, though not in the way it was intended.
After all, hordes of very highly qualified White, Asian, and other candidates who don’t need to plagiarize would have been a much better option than the apparently antisemitic former Harvard President Claudine Gay.
Indeed, it is safe to say that the woke Ivy League school “regularly excludes” the so-called “privileged” individuals from any consideration, regardless of how hard they have worked.
Needless to say, Musk had a rather snappy comeback to Cuban after the woke billionaire’s self-righteous DEI rant.
“Cool, so when should we expect to see a short white/Asian [woman] on the Mavs?” Musk retorted.
Cuban had no response. Unsurprisingly.
Multiple individuals have also recognized the joke that DEI is, though it’s a bit less of a joke when considering the national security implications.
“If DEI makes an organization better then why is our military getting weaker? They are way short in their recruitment goals and DEI is the reason,” one commenter drawled.
Absolutely.
