Top GOP Candidate Proposes Ingenious Student Debt Plan

Former President Donald Trump continues to dominate the polls, ironically due in part to the Democrats’ rather desperate indictment efforts.

However, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, has also made steady strides in his own campaign, many of which would strongly appeal to Americans who value conservativism and limited government.

Earlier this week, DeSantis unveiled a rather compelling “Declaration of Economic Independence,” asserting, “we are today declaring our economic independence from the failed elites and policies that have harmed this nation’s middle class.”

Indeed, the declaration not only calls for disengaging from China, but also for holding utterly feckless universities responsible for the massive student debt crisis.

After all, universities, unlike corporations, are barely accountable for the massive funds they receive, which means that they can continue simultaneously indoctrinating and indebting students to the tune of six figures.

In other words, there is no equivalent of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act for universities to follow, recalling that the act was passed in the wake of Enron’s mass deception of the public in the early twenty-first century.

The act required publicly traded corporations to demonstrate much greater transparency to the public, which helped ensure protection of shareholders.

Shame such an act is not in place for publicly funded universities, which routinely misuse funds for the rich gains of overpaid, under-intelligent university administrators.

Indeed, said administrators prattle on about “equity” while collecting salaries well into six figures, all while showing zero qualms about indebting generations of future Americans.

Though if the administrators are as Marxist as they have long been suspected to be, their contributions to mega student debt make total sense.

Which is exactly why DeSantis has called for making universities, rather than American taxpayers, liable for student debt.

And, in his practical, conservative fashion, DeSantis made it rather clear that student performance post-graduation should absolutely be a metric in which universities are held accountable.

“I think the university should be responsible for the student debt … you produce somebody that can be successful, they pay off their loans, great. If you don’t, then you’re going to be on the hook,” DeSantis declared.

What an absolutely fantastic, fully practical idea. Perhaps universities may actually teach real skills in the event of such a development, rather than teaching about 10,000 different genders with a smattering of critical race theory.

Not to mention the shameless promotion of violent groups, such as BLM, who are simultaneously Marxist and destructive, as well as another example of taxpayer funds gone awry.

Oh, and don’t forget the devotion to socialism universities are breathing as well, which is really little more than a hop, skip, and jump away from full blown communism.

The kind of system that Beijing has invested in, which is now on steroids thanks to President Xiden.

Which is precisely why Xiden needs to be out and a candidate like DeSantis needs to be in, especially as the Florida Governor brings to mind elements of past conservative presidents, notably Ronald Reagan, who succeeded in achieving a bulwark against out-of-control congressional spending.

“We really haven’t had a president since Ronald Reagan who leaned-in against Congress overspending … So, I will be the president that will do that, will stand up for taxpayers, and will stand up for the next generation,” DeSantis proclaimed.

Amen!
