Talk about Christmas in July!
Looks like both Hollywood writers and actors are now on strike.
Which means all the woke garbage that they put out on a near-indefinite basis has come to a temporary halt, at least for now, in terms of future production.
As detailed by Fox Business, the Writers Guild of America has been on strike since early May, and, apparently actors have decided to join in on the fray.
Much to the displeasure of Disney CEO Bob Iger, alongside varied other entertainment company executives.
SAG-AFTRA vowed to go on strike, much to the chagrin of Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) which represents major employers, such as Netflix, Disney, and Amazon.
In other words, ultra-woke companies.
AMPTP issued a rather bleak statement in response to the actors’ decision to strike alongside the writers, which apparently hasn’t occurred since 1960.
“This is the Union’s choice, not ours. In doing so, it has dismissed our offer of historic pay and residual increases, substantially higher caps on pension and health contributions, audition protections, shortened series option periods, a groundbreaking AI proposal that protects actors’ digital likenesses, and more,” the AMPTP intoned.
Other entertainment executives were even more abrasive, notably the aforementioned Iger, who is incensed by the Hollywood strike.
“[The union’s decision] was very disturbing … We’ve talked about disruptive forces on this business and all the challenges we’re facing, the recovery from COVID, which is ongoing, it’s not completely back. This is the worst time in the world to add to that disruption,” Iger raged.
Well, that’s the thing about indoctrinating writers and actors into the woke ideology: They have no concept of basic economics, which is precisely why they “strike” without thinking.
“[The strike] will have a very, very damaging effect on the whole business, and unfortunately there’s huge collateral damage in the industry to people who are supportive services, and I could go on and on,” Iger continued.
Ah. So, in other words, the entertainment industry may steadily dwindle downwards. The same industry known for attempting to indoctrinate the world with a transgender militant agenda, alongside other leftist objectives.
What a shame! The Disney CEO certainly thinks so, and perhaps he is rethinking now how unwise it may be to shove leftism down everyone’s throats, especially given the resulting strikes.
“It will affect the economy of different regions … because of the sheer size of the business. It’s a shame, it is really a shame,” Iger mused.
Conservative Americans beg to differ.
