Governor Gruesome Epically Fails DeSantis’s Devious Challenge

It’s been nearly three weeks since Florida Governor Ron DeSantis challenged California Governor Gavin Newsom to stop “pussyfooting around” with regards to his 2024 intentions, which are deliberately nebulous.

“[Despite] all of those problems [in California], [Newsom] has a real, serious fixation on Florida; I mean, I think it’s just bizarre that he does that … But what I would tell him is, you know what? Stop pussyfooting around … Are you going to throw your hat in the ring and challenge Joe? Are you going to do it?  Or are you going to sit on the sidelines and chirp? Why don’t you throw your hat in the ring, and then we’ll go ahead and talk about what’s happening,” DeSantis declared in mid-June.

Newsom, clearly jealous of the immense success DeSantis has accrued while governing Florida throughout the pandemic, had been busy picking the Florida governor apart in a lame attempt to deflect from the complete chaos unfolding across his own state.

However, DeSantis finally snapped back, issuing a rather clear challenge for Newsom to “throw [his] hat in the ring” and challenge Biden, given that Newsom and his numerous hair stylists are clearly dying for the White House.

And, lo and behold, Newsom apparently failed to follow through on DeSantis’s challenge, opting to “chirp” from the sidelines instead.

Indeed, Newsom traveled to Idaho of all places, allegedly to promote Biden for 2024, though it’s rather obvious he’s indirectly campaigning for himself.

Not that the overtly liberal, woke Los Angeles Times acknowledges that.

“At a private fundraiser in the middle of Donald Trump’s America, California Gov. Gavin Newsom was on a mission to help President Biden. Newsom, who hit the road during the Fourth of July holiday weekend, told a group of roughly 50 Democrats gathered in the backyard of a mansion overlooking the Boise foothills Saturday,” the newspaper gushed.

Wow, a grand total of 50 Democrats. About the same number that attended Biden’s “rallies” before the 2020 election, yet Dems still insist every single one of the 81 million votes for Biden was legitimate.

Irony is lost on the woke newspaper.

During his appearance the mansion, apparently the only type of private residence he will enter, Newsom hobnobbed with the highly limited number of Democrats in the state while ostensibly “campaigning” for Biden, as detailed by the Daily Mail.

“I’m really proud of this president, and I hope you are as well,” Newsom boomed.

Governor Gruesome also proclaimed that he journeyed to Idaho in order to make the “powerful case for why we should be passionate, enthusiastic about Biden’s reelection.”

“You think Trump, if he gets back into office, is not going to demand a third term? Give me a break … You think January 6 is the last we are going to see … Give me a break,” he scoffed.

Way to speculate, Governor Gruesome.

Especially as your own wannabe authoritarianism during the pandemic directly resulted in a gubernatorial recall election, not to mention a mass exodus of Californians sick of the draconian measures.

Illegals, however, continued to flood the state.

Newsom was obviously campaigning for himself anyway, as observed by Idaho Democrat Russ Buschert.

“He looks like an incredible presidential candidate,” Buschert gushed.

For totally elitist radicals, perhaps.

In remarks to the Los Angeles Times, Rob Stutzman, a Republican consultant in California, also noted that Newsom’s campaigning was obvious.

“He’s putting in time and effort that no one else outside the White House appears to be … He’s acting like the candidate in waiting. Someday it may pay off for him,” Stutzman mused.

Let’s hope not.

California Republican Party Chairwoman Jessica Millan Patterson was perhaps the bluntest of all with regards to Newsom’s faux campaign, an obvious failure to answer DeSantis’s challenge.

“While Newsom runs a shadow presidential campaign, it’s increasingly clear that he wants to take his failures from his own state straight to the White House … You don’t want what Gavin Newsom’s selling,” Patterson drawled.

Indeed, you don’t.
