Biden Blows $230M+ On Anti-Gun Agenda

When Biden isn’t busy ignoring the border or hiding critical information from the American public, he appears to double down on his obsession with gun control.

In the wake of yet another tragic mass shooting, Biden wasted no time politicizing the incident.

“I once again call on Congress to enact commonsense gun law reforms, including requiring background checks on all gun sales, banning assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, and eliminating immunity for gun manufacturers who knowingly put weapons of war on our streets. We owe it to all those we’ve lost and to all those left behind to grieve to continue to act,” Biden asserted.

Of course, Biden left out the inconvenient fact that the perpetrator had already been in trouble for illegal gun ownership in the past, and he had even been arrested in 2019 … only to be let out, likely by woke Democrat policies.

Amazing, how Democrats yearn to control guns more than the people who actually use and procure the guns illegally.

Unfortunately, the Biden administration continued to engage in complete theatrics, pandering to an audience fueled by (perpetually outraged) feelings.

And, as usual, the White House didn’t bother to engage with Congress about gun control efforts … they just bulldozed right ahead.

“The Biden administration on Tuesday announced that the Justice Department will give $231 million to states for crisis intervention, including efforts to strengthen red flag programs and prevention efforts to curb gun violence,” Fox News reported.

Translation: Biden pours nearly a quarter of a billion dollars into gun control in the United States while simultaneously shipping tens of billions worth of unaccounted for weaponry to Ukraine.

As usual, he does so suddenly and rapidly, with little to no engagement with the American public.

Of course, his cronies had their ready-made excuses handy.

“These awards will support the kinds of crisis intervention programs that we know save lives and help protect children, families, and communities across the country from senseless acts of gun violence,” Attorney General Merrick Garland asserted.

You know what else would help prevent “senseless acts of gun violence?”

Getting rid of zero-bail policies, “equity” policies, and pretty much every other policy guaranteed to empower criminals while endangering the public.

Hilariously, Biden continues to blare on about his gun control efforts, in spite of the fact they will likely achieve exactly nothing in terms of mass shootings and everything in terms of further cutting into Americans’ constitutionally guaranteed rights.

“Red flag laws, however, only save lives if community members effectively use this tool. Today’s announcement gives states funding to educate the public about extreme risk protection orders and train law enforcement and other officials regarding this intervention,” Biden blared.

More like most states and their “leaders” will pocket the money, as is customary amongst corrupt politicians, notably Democrats.

In the meantime, law-abiding Americans, apparently one of the most offensive groups to the White House, continue to suffer from rampant crime, after Biden empowered them all in the first place!
