Despite Biden’s recent blustering at the heavily sanitized border, his first visit since becoming president, it is quite clear that the border situation has increasingly devolved, becoming utterly out of control on a number of levels.
Not only are illegal migrants swarming in at greater levels ever than before, but the porous border is also facilitating the entry of all kinds of skeptical characters that wish harm upon America, including terrorists.
As reported by the Daily Wire, a staggering number of terrorists has succeeded in surging across the border or attempting to surge across the border, which is an especially egregious development when accounting for the border security that occurred under Trump.
“The number of people on the nation’s terror watch list who have been arrested at the southern border has soared under the Biden administration, according to a new report.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data jumped from just three arrests of individuals from the list at the border in 2020 to nearly 100 in 2022,” the outlet reported.
For reference, a total of 11 suspected terrorists were arrested at the border during the entirety of Trump’s presidency.
Needless to say, the level of border insecurity would have been completely unacceptable in the wake of 9/11/01, given how insufficiently current DHS protocols are being enforced.
Texas Rep. Pat Fallon, for instance, skewered DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, who has proven to be routinely ineffectual in a number of different settings.
“Since day one, Secretary Mayorkas’ policies have undermined law enforcement activities at our southern border … From perjuring himself before Congress about maintaining operational control of the border to the infamous ‘whip-gate’ slander against our border patrol agents, Secretary Mayorkas has proven time and time again that he is unfit to lead the Department of Homeland Security,” Fallon raged to Fox News.
Yep. For the longest time, Mayorkas refused to admit there was a problem at all, until Governors Abbott and DeSantis took matters into their own hands.
Worst of all, Mayorkas’s deception indicates a certain level of willingness to inflict chaos upon the United States.
“His willful actions have eroded our immigration system, undermined border patrol morale, and jeopardized American national security. He has violated the law and it is time for him to go,” Fallon continued angrily.
It’s time for Mayor Eric Adams to go as well, as he is clearly out of his depth dealing with the swarms of migrants hitting the city.
“With more than 41,000 asylum seekers arriving in New York City since last spring and nearly 28,000 asylum seekers currently in our care, our city is at its breaking point,” Adams proclaimed.
Wow, how about that? Just imagine if they all could vote, an insane law that New York City actually tried to pass, though a judge struck it down for being explicitly unconstitional.
“We continue to surpass both our moral and legal obligations and meet the needs of people arriving in New York, but as the number of asylum seekers continues to grow, we are in serious need of support from both our state and federal governments. This fifth Humanitarian Emergency Response and Relief Center will provide approximately 1,000 asylum seekers with a place to stay, access support, and get to their final destination,” Adams added pompously.
Really? Permitting migrants to trash hotel rooms, waste food, do narcotics, and basically amplify the alleged “carbon footprint” is what constitutes “moral and legal obligation” in a Democrat’s eyes?
Say no more.
Deputy Mayor for Public Safety Philip Banks III also chimed in, claiming that migrants who have made their way to New York are having all their “needs” met.
“As the numbers and demographics shift, so does our approach. What remains is our focus on addressing their needs, providing them with critical services, and ensuring a foundation is there for them to begin building their new lives,” Banks sniffed.
Tell that to the homeless people, in particular homeless veterans, who continue to suffer while migrants receive the relative 5* treatment, all for breaking the law.
Not to mention facilitating the entry of terrorists …
