Democrat Sheriff Flops Against DeSantis

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has struck a real nerve with lefties across the country, especially with his ultimate “egg on the face” success recently achieved in Martha’s Vineyard.

After all, all the political elites thought they were safe on their wealthy little enclave, far from the destruction they deliberately create.

However, as it turns out, the lefties didn’t stop to think that DeSantis might fly illegals to their locale, much in the same way Biden has shipped migrants overnight on secret flights to Florida.

And, unsurprisingly, the lefties have promptly freaked out, much to the amusement of DeSantis.

“Millions of people since Biden has been president illegally coming across the southern border. Did they freak out about that? No. You’ve had migrants die in the Rio Grande. You had 50 die in Texas in a trailer because they were being neglected. Was there a freak out about that? No, there wasn’t,” DeSantis drawled.

Well, all of those events occurred far away from Pelosi’s wine parties, which would be why the Democrats did not appear overtly concerned.

“You’ve had criminal aliens get across that southern border, and victimize Americans, killing some, raping some, was there any type of outrage about that? No. And then of course, we know fentanyl deaths are at an all time high. Where’s that fentanyl coming from? It’s coming over the open southern border,” DeSantis continued.

Considering that the fentanyl originates from Biden’s buddies in Beijing, it should come as little surprise that the federal government has taken a rather lax approach to border security.

DeSantis also shattered the myth that migrants were somehow “lured” to Massachusetts under false pretenses.

“And then the vendor that is doing this for Florida, provided them with a packet that had a map of Martha’s Vineyard, it had the numbers for different services on Martha’s Vineyard and then it had numbers for the overall agencies in Massachusetts that handle things involving immigration and refugees. So, it was clearly voluntary, and all the other nonsense you’re hearing is just not true,” DeSantis remarked dismissively.

Alas, some Democrats attempted to create their own reality anyway, notably Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar, who attempted to “investigate” DeSantis.

Key word: attempted.

“That does tend to bother me quite a bit. And so we are absolutely opening up an investigation into this,” Salazar droned.

Shortly thereafter, he issued a press release indicating his department “has opened an investigation into the migrants that were lured from the Migrant Resource Center, located in Bexar County, TX, and flown to Florida, where they were ultimately left to fend for themselves in Martha’s Vineyard, MA.”

Salazar went as fas as to threaten collaboration with federal agencies, all over 50 migrants who willingly went to Martha’s Vineyard.

“Additionally, we are working with private attorneys who are representing the victims, as well as advocacy organizations regarding this incident. We are also preparing to work with any federal agencies that have concurrent jurisdiction, should the need arise,” Salazar continued.

Humorously, it soon became clear that the need did not “arise.”

“I believe people need to be held accountable for it to the extent possible. At this point, I’m not able to definitively say here’s the statute that they broke either federal, state or local,” Salazar remarked, admitting his investigation has been a flop.

“But what I can tell you is it’s wrong just from a human rights perspective, what was done to these folks is wrong,” the sheriff insisted, though he failed to elaborate which precise human right was violated with regards to a free, voluntary flight to an island filled with wealthy residents who proclaim their support of sanctuary cities, provided its not their own.

A DeSantis spokesperson responded bemusedly to Salazar’s remarks, noting that “Immigrants have been more than willing to leave Bexar County after being abandoned, homeless, and ‘left to fend for themselves.’”

“Florida gave them an opportunity to seek greener pastures in a sanctuary jurisdiction that offered greater resources for them, as we expected,” the spokesperson continued, “unless the MA national guard has abandoned these individuals, they have been provided accommodations, sustenance, clothing and more options to succeed following their unfair enticement into the United States, unlike the 53 immigrants who died in a truck found abandoned in Bexar County this June.”

Like the predictable leftists they are, the National Guard was summoned and the 50 migrants were promptly removed from the politicians’ playland.
