The fall election cycle is hotter than ever, especially after Florida Governor Ron DeSantis turned up the heat on Democrat officials struggling to walk back their past remarks regarding sanctuary cities for migrants.
Between Texas Governor Greg Abbott and DeSantis, Democrats are finally learning more about the border issues than they ever did from “Border Czar” Kamala, especially when those issues literally show up on their doorsteps just as they have across American backyards on the border for years.
Take NYC Mayor Eric Adams, for example, who is presently freaking out over all the illegals arriving to the city … ins spite of Adams himself proudly proclaiming on Twitter that his city would remain a sanctuary city.
“These migrants and asylum seekers are not coming to any particular city, they’re coming to America. This is an American crisis that we need to face – a humanitarian crisis that were made by human hands by some of the governors in our southern states,” Adams warbled.
Good for you, Adams. Now deal with the realities of a sanctuary city, though New York has vastly more resources than most border towns.
Recently, DeSantis really put libs in a snit by sending a grand total of 50 migrants from Venezuela to ultra-wealthy Martha’s Vineyard, which clearly chilled well-heeled Pelosi types to the bone.
As the island hilariously declared a humanitarian crisis then had all the migrants shoved into a military base, lest the migrants screw up the elite leftists’ pristine Instagram shots.
The left is so perennially out of touch it’s no wonder that DeSantis has smashed fundraising records to a degree that makes Dems very edgy, especially with just a few weeks until the midterm elections.
As reported by The Daily Wire, “Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ political operation has raised a historic $177.4 million, more than any other governor in history, and that was before he sent 50 illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard last week, which erupted into the week’s top national news story.”
What’s also awesome is DeSantis’s rather bemused replies to the Dems freaking out over a rather sensible strategy.
“I also was a little bit perplexed when I heard that the president is scrambling to get his Cabinet together to try to address the fact that you have governors who are helping to relocate illegal aliens to sanctuary cities. Now, he didn’t scramble to get his Cabinet together when we had millions of people illegally pouring across the southern border,” DeSantis drawled.
Well, that would be because the Biden White House could care less about the well-being of red states, usually referencing them only when it’s demonizing them for some purpose.
Usually for holding people accountable when voting.
“He didn’t scramble to get his Cabinet together when you had 43, 53 migrants die in some trailer in Texas because they were neglected by the federal government,” DeSantis continued.
That would be because acknowledging the tragic deaths would be akin to acknowledging that the border policies of the White House are a total and complete failure, and accountability is more challenging for the Biden administration than keeping Biden on track with what his puppet masters want him to say.
“You didn’t see him scramble to get his Cabinet together when we had Americans that were victimized by criminal aliens that he let across the border. You didn’t see him scramble to get his Cabinet together when we hit record fentanyl deaths, which, that fentanyl is coming across his open border,” DeSantis continued.
Well, considering the Dems want to keep people locked up due to a so-called pandemic, even when it means the odds of overdosing increase dramatically, it should come as no surprise that the White House could care less about mass overdoses.
After all, the current White House empowers Big Pharma (mandatory vaccines, anyone?) rather than the people.
Those beach houses for the Bidens aren’t going to pay for themselves, after all.
“It’s only when you have 50 illegal aliens end up in a very wealthy, rich sanctuary enclave that he decides to scramble on this,” DeSantis concluded.
In other words, as soon as Democrats have to interact with the people they depend on for votes, they can’t handle it and flip out.
Contrast that response with the response generated by DeSantis, Trump, and others who directly interact with their voters, rather than denigrate and dismiss them.
DeSantis’s nearly $200M haul is even more impressive when contrasting it with other Democrats.
Indeed, Biden has raised a grand total of $11,850,907, a curious figure when he supposedly received more than 80 million votes.
The insipid California Governor Gavin Newsom has also succeeded in raising a paltry $6,776,976, $100,000 of which he’s already wasted on useless attack ads on DeSantis.
In light of DeSantis’s and other Republicans’ staggering fundraising efforts, one can only hope that the White House is starting to get the message, very loudly and clearly, about what Americans really want …
