Cuomo Stuns Conservatives With Trump Defense

You know the Department of so-called “Justice” has gone way, way off the rails when disgraced New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, of all individuals, has called out the FBI for its outrageous behavior.

Dramatically raiding Mar-a-Lago, clearly to “shock and awe” the nation with how easily it can disregard the most fundamental elements of law and order, the FBI stunned the world by invading Mar-a-Lago for no apparent purpose.

Or, whatever purpose was given, it was about as convincing as the justification given for the Obama administration to spy on various European leaders through the NSA, as revealed by whistleblower Edward Snowden.

However, while NSA and CIA tactics are notorious for being deliberately murky to the public, the brazen behavior of the FBI, which directly involves a former president, has been shocking, to say the least.

Which prompted a fairly harsh rebuke from Mr. Cuomo, to the surprise of many conservatives.

“[The Department of Justice] must immediately explain the reason for its raid,” Cuomo declared.

Wow, that’s a surprise.

One would think that Cuomo would be right up front and center, not to mention cheering, but clearly, Cuomo is smart enough to realize the implications of a nation that has decided to go full blown authoritarian.

As that type of behavior from the FBI is exactly what such nations tend to do.

Cuomo also preemptively called out the FBI’s dodging tactics, informing the agency they also should have a really good reason, not a total nonsense reason.

“[The reason] must be more than a search for inconsequential archives,” Cuomo continued, “or it will be viewed as a political tactic, and undermine any future, credible, investigation and legitimacy of Jan. 6 investigations.”

Well, to be fair, the January 6 “investigations” arguably constitute a political “tactic” as well, though the FBI raid is an entirely other level.

It really does reek of the type of behavior that a total dictator would use against their opponents.

Which is exactly why so many are so concerned.

Former Vice President Mike Pence weighed in on the serious ramifications of the FBI raid, especially given the purely unprecedented nature of the raid.

“I share the deep concern of millions of Americans over the unprecedented search of the personal residence of President Trump. No former President of the United States has ever been subject to a raid of their personal residence in American history,” Pence remarked.

Never before was there such a massive mail-in voting push in 2020 either, and given how shockingly the government is behaving now, it’s pretty clear exactly why such a push occurred.

“Yesterday’s action undermines public confidence in our system of justice and Attorney General [Merrick] Garland must give a full accounting to the American people as to why this action was taken and he must do so immediately,” Pence continued.

Don’t count on an explanation anytime soon, unfortunately.

After all, the White House didn’t even bother to warn allies before abruptly withdrawing from Afghanistan.

No wonder Representative Drew Van of New Jersey remarked that the FBI behavior is “more like a Russian state than it is America.”

Trump himself weighed in on the raid, noting that it was indicative of “dark times” for the country.

“These are dark times for our nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents,” Trump intoned.

The former president also blasted the conduct as an indefensible “weaponization” of the FBI.

“It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the justice system, and an attack by radical left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for president in 2024, especially based on recent polls, and who will likewise do anything to stop Republicans and conservatives in the upcoming midterm elections,” Trump asserted.

Absolutely. Not to mention try to manipulate the midterms.

Besides, if Biden really received 81 million votes, what is he so worried about?
