Babin Blasts Dems’ Response To Migrants

In a recent statement to Newsmax, Representative Brian Babin declared that it is “absurd” for Democrats such as Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser and New York City Mayor Eric Adams to complain about their homeless shelters suffering the strain of illegal migrants.

Babin notes that such complaints are comical in the context of how many communities on the border have become overrun with migrants, as these communities are suffering significantly higher strain from illegal immigration than large urban centers.

“It’s absurd to hear these people from these blue cities and counties up north telling us that they’re being overwhelmed,” Babin declared, noting that up to 3.9 million individuals have swept into the United States since President Joe Biden took office.

Babin’s response emerges after the New York City mayor complained about Texas sending up to 2,500 migrants to the city over the past six to seven weeks. Mayor Adams indicated that the migrants had started to overcrowd the cities already highly burdened homeless shelters.

“We get [2,500 migrants] in about half a day,” Babin chortled in response to Adams’s complaint of the same number in a span of up to seven weeks.

“Here in my hometown, [Del Rio], with 35,000 people, 15,000 Haitians came in all at once,” he continued, “camped out under a bridge there.”

Unfortunately, Babin notes that Democrats and their states and cities should anticipate a higher influx of immigrants, as Texas will keep on sending illegal migrants “until your president starts obeying the law and does what he’s supposed to do” with regards to protecting the border.

Despite Babin’s commentary, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Alejandro Mayorkas declared that the border is secure and the administration is steadily working towards making it even more secure.

However, Babin discounts Mayorkas’s claim, declaring that what is occurring in Texas “really is an invasion,” as detailed in the Constitution.

“We’ve had just about enough of Alejandro Mayorkas’ lies and obfuscation and deceit,” Babin declared.
