Fauci Finally Meets Reality

Stop the presses!

As Fauci may have finally, just finally, come back down to earth.

At least for a moment or two, if his recent appearance on PBS NewsHour was anything to go by.

Unlike CNN and MSNBC, PBS tends to jettison the screeching personalities on “The View” and the predatory personalities on prime time, so perhaps that is why Fauci apparently felt compelled to get real; the question is if he will stay real.

Given that much of the European Union, along with much of the world aside from China (no surprise there), has moved on from COVID, it is about time that the United States does as well.

Heck, the White House even wants to move on from COVID at least in terms of letting illegals stream in just in time for the midterms, which is precisely why the Biden administration is fighting like crazy to lift Title 42 restrictions for illegals while working to keep mask mandates and other absurd restrictions in place for Americans.

Which is precisely why on PBS NewsHour, host Judy Woodruff became remarkably blunt with the nation’s eminent medical advisor, Dr. Fauci.

“How close are we to the end of this pandemic?” Woodruff asked bluntly.

Initially, Fauci began to wax poetically about the “unanswerable question” before realizing he’s not dealing with Don Lemon or Whoopi Goldberg, neither of which is the sharpest knife in any drawer.

Which is probably why Fauci gave more facts on PBS then he’ll ever give on the Communist News Network (CNN).

“We don’t have 900,000 new infections a day and tens and tens and tens of thousands of hospitalizations and thousands of deaths. We are at a low level right now,” Fauci remarked.

Well, thank you, Emperor Fauci, for acknowledging what hundreds of real scientists around the world have been saying.

Aside from your NIH-funded colleagues in China, that is.

“So, if you’re saying, are we out of the pandemic phase in this country, we are,” Fauci proclaimed, “what we hope to do, I don’t believe – and I have spoken about this widely – we’re not going to eradicate this virus.”

Hallelujah! At last, Fauci actually admits “we are” out of this pandemic phase.

He could have admitted that at least six months ago, but he apparently is finally admitting it now.

And, yeah, it is kind of hard to eliminate the common cold, Fauci, but good luck trying to do so.

Democrats do realize that humans have an immune system, right? The average person is already designed to fight off illnesses, and unless someone is extremely compromised in that regard, the vast majority of people will acquire natural immunity and move on with life.

Exactly what big pharma and their bros at the FDA don’t want.

Which is precisely why Fauci was sure to quickly jump in and emphasize that big pharma will still get a cut, even if the pandemic is gone, as the medical advisor claims effectively lifelong vaccines will be necessary.

“That might be every year, that might be longer, in order to keep that level low,” Fauci proclaimed, “but, right now, we are not in the pandemic phase in this country. Pandemic means a widespread, throughout the world, infection that spreads rapidly among people.”

Yep. That ship sailed a long time ago, much to Democrats’ dismay.

After all, they are eager to destroy any semblance of states’ rights, which was clear from Fauci’s rantings and ravings on BBC 4

“The states are very often given a considerable amount of leeway in doing things the way they want to do it … as opposed to in response to federal mandates, which are relatively rarely given,” Fauci whined.

Heaven forbid the federal government isn’t a dictatorship … yet.
