Gotta love it when politicians’ moronic bureaucratic polices, from zero-bail to “Defund Police,” hilariously blow up in their face.
Such inane policies are all the more hilarious when considering the pro-crime policies also include pro-illegal policies, to the extent that moron-run cities openly proclaim their pride in refusing to enforce alleged federal legislation regarding illegal immigration.
Specifically, Chicago, which recently made headlines for being unable to control hundreds upon hundreds of violent teenagers, has long proclaimed that it is a “sanctuary city” and that it will routinely refuse to work with federal-level border enforcement agencies, such as ICE.
Indeed, Chicago’s “Welcoming City Ordinance” declares “that the city will not ask about your immigration status, disclose that information to authorities, or, most importantly, deny you city services based on your immigration status.”
Wow, what a sound policy.
Sounds like it’s invitation for massive trouble, especially when the city moronically put, in writing, that it will refuse to cooperate with ICE.
“Partnering with ICE would go against our mission to make Chicago the most immigrant friendly city in the country and turns ours into a community of fear for immigrants,” the ordinance boomed.
Well then. If one was to be an illegal immigrant, seems Chicago would be high on the list of potential options.
After all, moving to a city wherein the idiot mayor will refuse to hand over illegals to authorities sounds like a great place for gangbangers and other sterling contributors to society to arrive.
Which is why the recent rage from the idiotic mayor about Abbott resuming the busing of able and more than willing migrants to the self-proclaimed sanctuary city is downright comical.
Mayor Lightfoot issued a letter that revealed a breathtaking lack of self-awareness, coupled with complete idiocy.
“The City of Chicago is aware that the state of Texas is planning to resume bussing individuals and families to cities throughout the United States, including Chicago, starting Monday, May 1. I am, yet again, appealing to your better nature and asking that you stop this inhumane and dangerous action,” the letter detailed.
“Your better nature.” Who is she kidding? This is the same woman who called for “arms” against the Supreme Court while simultaneously refusing to interview with any journalist, unless they were a journalist “of color.”
Yet she lectures Abbott about “better nature.”
“I know by your actions either you do not see or do not care about the trauma these migrants have already faced and continue to suffer under the humanitarian crisis you have created. But I beseech you anyway: Treat these individuals with the respect and dignity that they deserve. To tell them to go to Chicago or to inhumanely bus them here is an inviable and misleading choice,” Lightfoot raged.
How about treating the taxpayers who fund your lavish lifestyle, complete with private security, with the “respect and dignity” they deserve?
After all, they are the ones suffering the brunt of extremely violent crime, crime that has been openly aided and abetted by the increasingly lawless Democrat Party.
“Though I am sympathetic to the significant challenges that border cities face, this situation is completely untenable. The national immigration problem will not be solved by passing the responsibility on to other cities,” Lightfoot continued.
You don’t say! No kidding!
… Perhaps the problem could have been “solved” by finishing the wall that Trump began, but Democrats can’t have that.
As for “significant challenges,” she doesn’t have a clue, considering she can virtue signal from thousands of miles away about how welcoming she is to all these illegals.
Until they actually show up on her doorstep.
Needless to say, Twitter users utterly roasted the insanely incompetent mayor, who is so lacking in self-awareness that she actually believes she lost the chance to become mayor again due to “racism.”
“Safely transporting those who volunteer to be bussed to Chicago, where Lightfoot told illegal immigrants they are welcome to come, is inhumane and dangerous?” one Twitter user queried.
Seriously. After all, the city’s “Welcoming Ordinance” is clearly motivation enough.
“She should have sent a letter to President Biden urging him to close the border,” another user chortled.
Yup. But that would be admitting Trump, as usual, was right.
“You should have plenty of room for them downtown now that you’ve run all the businesses off,” another individual remarked.
That’s a good one! Especially with the recent closures of Walmart due to high crime.
Of course, Lightfoot claimed that Walmart leaving Chicago was racist as well.
Everything is racist to her, right down to her anti-American policies.
“Well, those people have to go somewhere. Self-proclaimed sanctuary cities seem like the right places to start,” a user mused.
Exactly. Clearly, illegals, especially violent illegals, are going to head towards areas where they are most likely to thrive.
Democrat-run cities that don’t enforce crimes and don’t cooperate with ICE are clearly a compelling option.
Especially humorous tweets were the ones that hit Lightfoot with the numeric facts so many Democrats appear obsessed with.
“Hellinois had a net population loss of 105,000 in 2021. Her ‘sanctuary’ has plenty of room,” a user drawled.
Yup. It sure does.
