Sanctuary State Subsumed By Out-Of-Control Subway Crime Wave

Gotta love it when a state that’s been the epicenter of the “Defund Police” movement has to resort to using National Guardsmen to clean up crime.

Especially when the same state thrives on illegal “newcomers,” as Biden likes to call them.

Which is precisely what’s happened in New York and New York City.

Not only are illegals beating up cops on the streets, but apparently a combination of regular American criminals and illegals are harassing individuals in the subway system.

Now, the governor is babbling about her alleged commitment to safety, though her reign certainly would have suggested otherwise before.

Given how many illegals now fill the city, it’s hard to say who’s legal and who isn’t.

“Since taking office, I have been laser-focused on driving down subway crime and protecting New Yorkers … My five-point plan will rid our subways of violent offenders and protect all commuters and transit workers,” Governor Hochul proclaimed.

And, as part of that “five-point plan,” apparently a minimum of 1,000 state police and National Guardsmen have to be deployed to patrol the subway system.

“These brazen, heinous attacks on our subway system will not be tolerated … We’ll be having 750 members of the New York National Guard, as well as another 250 personnel from State and MTA police,” Hochul continued.

Well, that’s one of the many downsides of “Defund Police,” Ms. Hochul.

Surprised she isn’t sending social workers to the subways.

After all, Dems claim those workers can apparently handle a lot of tough situations.

“You’ll start seeing them at the tables, making sure that weapons are not being brought in, working in concert with our New York State Police, as well as our NYPD because no one heading to their job or to visit family or to go to a doctor appointment should worry that the person sitting next to them possesses a deadly weapon. They shouldn’t worry about whether someone’s going to brandish a knife or gun,” Hochul continued.

Is that so? And what exactly happens when the same violent criminal is released within hours by woke DA Alvin Bragg, all to make the judicial system less “racist?”

“Effective immediately, the MTA will work with the District Attorneys and the NYPD to create a new early warning system for repeat offenders … We know who they are. They’ll flag the criminal history at the time of arrest so it can be fully considered when decisions regarding charging and bail are made,” Hochul continued.

Uh huh. That would probably be monitored as effectively as illegals who receive over $1,000 cash monthly for vote buying purposes.

“We need our officers out there … When I’m on the subway system, I speak with riders and they say, ‘Eric, nothing makes us feel safer than seeing that officer at the token booth, walking through the system, walking through the trains, and that is what we want our officers doing,’” New York City Mayor Adams declared.

Actually, what makes everyone feel safer is a city that doesn’t free every violent criminal imaginable while simultaneously packing the city with illegals.

“I am sending a message to all New Yorkers: I will not stop working to keep you safe and restore your peace of mind whenever you walk through those turnstiles,” Hochul chimed in.

Unsurprisingly, an MTA worker was violently attacked within hours of Hochul’s announcement.

So much for keeping New Yorkers “safe.”
