Talk about living above the law.
As most conservatives are well aware, a number of whistleblowers have come forward with troubling claims regarding the business dealings of the Biden family during the Obama regime, namely dealings with foreign adversaries.
And, in another troubling development, Biden has apparently decided it’s a great idea to brazenly intimidate the whistleblowers for doing what they are technically legally bound to do.
According to Republican Representatives Jim Jordan, Jason Smith, and James Comer, Hunter Biden’s overworked legal team has been brazenly intimidating Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler, the IRS whistleblowers.
Shapley and Ziegler came forward and revealed the number of times that investigations of Hunter Biden were thwarted by political interference, clearly directed by Biden and/or Biden’s puppet masters.
The Republicans charged that the lawyers had engaged in a a “brazen effort to intimidate and harass” the IRS whistleblowers.
“Federal law protects whistleblowers from retaliation, and efforts to intimidate these whistleblowers raise serious concerns about potential obstruction of the Committees’ investigation … Accordingly, we request information about any attempts by Hunter Biden’s legal team to encourage the Department to take action against IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler,” the Republicans detailed in a letter.
Even the New York Times gave the Republicans ammunition, as noted by Fox News.
The liberal outlet actually admitted that Biden’s lawyers “have contended to the Justice Department that by disclosing details about the investigation to Congress, they broke the law and should be prosecuted.”
The Biden regime has been quite astonishing in its routine flouting of checks and balances, not to mention its consistent disregard for the law.
In particular laws such as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), alongside other laws regarding whistleblower protections.
The Biden family has seemed to profit quite richly from a number of LLCs that are undoubtedly in grave violation of the tenets of the FCPA, but the Biden bros also seem to count on the fact that they can weaponize federal agencies in their favor.
Not to mention against key political opponents, namely former (and hopefully future) President Donald Trump, who managed to maintain far more global peace than the destructive Dems are doing now.
Nonetheless, the brazen intimidation against whistleblowers represents a ghastly abuse of executive power, not to mention a total violation of the law.
One can only hope such intimidation tactics will weave their way into eventual impeachment of Biden or victory of Republicans in 2024, whichever may come first.
