It’s about time parents scored a win against ultra-woke school districts!
That’s’ right: In none other than the ultra-leftist state of California, parents actually prevailed in a school board meeting for once.
Even better, not only did they prevail, but they also succeeded in having an insanely Marxist superintendent thrown out.
Tony Thurmond, the State Superintendent of Schools in California, actually had the gall to effectively inform parents that it was none of their business if their child decided to transition to a different gender.
Mind you, virtually all these children are underaged, some of whom may be as young as 12 years old (if not younger).
However, Thurmond lamely tried to claim that allowing minors to have gender surgery in secret was in keeping with “privacy laws,” which is why he argued against a policy that would notify parents about their children’s intentions.
“The policy you consider tonight may not only fall outside of privacy laws, but may put our students at risk,” Thurmond boomed.
Oh, please.
As Dems have long since advocated for a surveillance state, it’s funny that they care about privacy when it comes to protecting their deranged deeds, especially as they pertain to minors.
Needless to say, parents were quite enraged over the state effectively claiming ownership over their impressionable children, and they baldly declared that the superintendent was “proposing things that pervert children.”
One parent was quite blunt about the reality that California may well be attempting to “groom” children.
“We are here today because our kids are in danger … Our kids are in danger from groomers,” one parent asserted, echoing the sentiments of several parents present.
After roaring, “kick him out!”, Mr. Thurmond was, amazingly, ejected from the meeting, where he could no longer defend the indefensible.
And, in this case, it was not only the parents that stood their ground against Mr. Thurmond – the school board president, Sonja Shaw, also stood her ground.
“’Tony Thurmond, I appreciate you being here tremendously, but here’s the problem – we are here because of people like you,” Shaw drawled, “in Sacramento, you’re proposing things that hurt children.”
Indeed, he is. As well as things that hurt families, big time.
A natural offshoot from the deranged tenets of BLM, which openly call for destruction of the nuclear family, alongside society in general.
Even more disturbingly, Mr. Thurmond appears to care less about the real effects of gender transition surgery at a very early age, even as a number of de-transitioning young adults launch lawsuits against feckless doctors who pushed them into surgery, rather than therapy.
After all, it is safe to say that a number of people tend to grow and develop quite a bit from ages 11 to 12 onwards, which is precisely why enabling minors to receive irreversible surgery without any parental input is nothing short of madness.
Heck, that’s even too woke for Brits and Europeans, who have long coddled activist movements, though even they stop short of condoning irreversible surgery for clearly distressed younger people.
After all, the mass movement towards irreversible gender surgeries is being powered by minors across the United States, as minors are the ones who are subjected to their generally leftist teachers’ perverse indoctrination.
Luckily, Shaw, alongside other parents, fought back.
“You are not going to blackmail us, you already sent us a blackmailing letter previously … you will not bully us here in Chino,” Shaw asserted before Thurmond was removed.
Now if only that same scenario would replicate itself across the rest of the United States.
