Seems like militant environmentalists are amongst some of the most dangerous “terrorists” of all these days, given the various ways in which the White House has attempted to bully Americans into a “clean energy” transition.
And it seems that these militant environmentalists are willing to risk a massive war in order to do so, given the ways in which the White House press secretary’s commentary has evolved over the past several month.
Earlier in 2022, before the invasion of Ukraine, the current White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre dodged $5+ per gallon gas and instead tried to shamelessly promote $60,000+ cars instead, notably during an exchange with Fox News’s Peter Doocy.
Doocy, who routinely outsmarts most of the White House’s so-called representatives, made his bemusement to Jean-Pierre clear when she prattled on about the great “transition” to clean energy.
“A lot of people can’t afford a $61,000 electric car and they are also having a hard time affording gas right now. That sounds like a painful transition,” Doocy remarked.
“We are in a transition to clean energy,” Jean-Pierre replied militantly, as if there were absolutely no other option but extreme green is possible.
For the little people, that is, while Pelosi prowls about her jets.
“Yeah but who can afford an electric car? The average price is $61,000! Is that the choice $5 per gallon gas or a $61,000 electric car?” Doocy pressed at the time.
“That’s apples to oranges. It’s not the same,” Jean-Pierre sniffed, offering a typically ineffectual response.
Well, apparently making gas increase by more than $5 per gallon wasn’t enough of a chance for Jean-Pierre to shamelessly plug electric cars – it seems that the recently, highly suspicious destruction of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline is yet another chance to shamelessly promote the Biden administration’s agenda.
“As you all know, these pipelines weren’t pumping gas into Europe at this time and NS2 was never operational, as you guys know. NS1 has not been operational for weeks because Putin has weaponized energy and we have said this, many times before,” Jean-Pierre remarked.
“Many, many times before,” she says. Kind of like that well known axiom – Repeat a lie enough times, and eventually people believe it.
As the White House itself has clearly “weaponized” energy as soon as Biden entered office, from killing the Keystone XL pipeline to potentially even destroying the Russian Nord Stream 2 pipeline, especially given how eager Jean-Pierre is to promote electric cars in response to a total environmental disaster.
“This just drives home the importance of our efforts to work together to get alternative gas supplies to Europe and to support efforts to reduce gas consumption and accelerate true energy independence by moving to clean energy economy,” the press secretary chirped.
Oh, right. A huge methane explosion has rocked the ocean, one that might potentially generate even greater conflict, but the White House’s main response is … go buy an electric car? Seriously?
No wonder Fox News host Tucker Carlson is aghast at the official explanation.
“Oh. ‘Moving to clean energy’ say that people who very may well be responsible for letting methane into the Baltic Sea and into the atmosphere at a scale that most people can’t imagine,” Carlson declared.
Seriously. Whatever carbon emissions are allegedly saved from electric cars (never mind the rare earth materials necessary to make the cars) are clearly going to be decimated by a rather large methane explosion.
Not like the Biden administration thinks that critically.
“The people lecturing you about your SUV may have blown up a natural gas pipeline and created one of the great catastrophes of our time in its effect on the environment,” Carlson added.
And, lest one think that Carlson appears a bit too reactionary, ABC News has provided a convenient tweetwherein Biden “assures” the reporter that the United States will be able to “bring an end” to the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.
Since an “end” may have been brought to the same pipeline multiple months later, it certainly seems plausible that some seriously shady situations are unfolding …
