DeSantis Detractors Endure Major Embarrassment

It is really quite hilarious that the fictional news media loves to proclaim that Trump is the so-called “disinformer in chief” when they themselves constitute some of the biggest liars of all.

They seem especially keen to lie when it comes to any kind of movement in favor of intellectual diversity, or diversity of thought, the one type of diversity that is apparently totally unacceptable to the left.

Which is precisely why the fictional news media launched a full-scale attack on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, which was completely based on their own contrived delusions.

The latest media rage in question pertained to Florida House Bill 233, which can be viewed in its entirety here.

The bill in question dared to reinforce the First Amendment, which appears to enrage the Democrats the most, especially as it pertains to lefties’ precious colleges, detailed below:

“The State Board of Education shall require each Florida College System institution to conduct an annual assessment of the intellectual freedom and viewpoint diversity at that institution.”

Well, how about that? A law passed to ensure … development of critical thinking skills.

At the collegiate level, no less.

Quite the sign of the times that such a bill has to be passed, illustrating how fully authoritarian the left has become.

“The State Board of Education shall select or create an objective, nonpartisan, and statistically valid survey to be used by each institution which considers the extent to which competing ideas and perspectives are presented and members of the college community, including students, faculty, and staff, feel free to express their beliefs and viewpoints on campus and in the classroom,” the bill added.

Translation: Conservative students and faculty should not fear being “cancelled” for daring to respect the Constitution.

After all, the leftist mob has literally set fires to prevent conservative speakers from setting foot on campus, and they have zero qualms about using violence to get their way against others.

Heck, the mob even stalks moderate Democrats, like Senator Sinema, into the bathroom, videoing her no less, which the “Believe Women” President Biden dismissed as incidents that “happen to everyone.”

Highly doubtful he’s ever had to deal with that himself.

Sadly, the bill had to actually define “intellectual freedom,” given what a foreign concept it usually is to woke faculty.

“‘Intellectual freedom and viewpoint diversity’ means the exposure of students, faculty, and staff to, and the encouragement of their exploration of, a variety of ideological and political perspectives,”

That’s all, folks. A bill protecting intellectual diversity.

Which, of course, was immediately twisted into something totally different by liars masquerading as reporters.

Which in turn resulted in perennial anti-Trump Stephen King going after DeSantis.

“DeSantis signs bill requiring Florida students, professors to register political views with state. I. Can’t. Even.,” the horror author declared in a since-deleted Tweet.

Well, Mr. King, conservatives “can’t even” believe you don’t bother to fact check a thing before posting such an insane tweet.

The author soon learned his tweet was based on verifiably fake news and hurriedly deleted it, though not before it drew uproar for his direct participation in the dissemination of fake news.

Fortunately, the tweet has been captured by other savvy outlets.

“I deleted a tweet about Ron DeSantis requiring notice of political views of students and teachers. That really was fake news. Sorry,” King hurriedly amended.

Sure, Mr. King, sure.

It would have taken all of five minutes to review the bill for yourself, but I guess a multi-millionaire retired author has too little time on his hands, coupled with far too much pent-up, misdirected angst to do so.

“I regret having posted the headline without being more confident the story was correct. Salon is usually more reliable,” King added, “Twitter is a constant learning experience, and I will try to do better.”

Ah, classic leftist. A simple apology never suffices … The blame game must always follow.

It was big, bad Salon’s fault!

CNN also raced to fact check Salon, attempting to regain long since lost credibility.

Bullying high schoolers such as Nick Sandmann has a way of doing that.

“The 2021 law does require public colleges and universities in Florida to administer annual surveys on the subject of ‘intellectual freedom and viewpoint diversity’” the network trilled, “But contrary to the inaccurate initial Salon headline, the law does not require anybody to register their political views. Students and faculty members can decide whether to participate in the surveys, which are anonymous.”

Nice start, CNN.

You can continue by fact checking Biden’s innumerable lies …
