Governor Gruesome sure is active these days, or at least massively active in massive self-promotion.
After all, the devious California governor recently did make a secret trip to China, where he posed and preened with President Xi, widely known as Putin’s biggest ally.
Tellingly, Biden didn’t say a word about Newsom’s eyebrow-raising visit.
Perhaps Newsome was simply taking care of business for the “Big Guy.”
On the domestic front, Gruesome Newsom is going hilariously overboard to prove how not “racist” he is, clearly in a lame bid for 2024, should current President Joe Biden decide to dip out.
Even if his anti-“racist” efforts involve empowering 12-year-olds (literally) to become prostitutes.
Alas, Newsom’s allegedly anti-“racist” efforts seem to constantly blow up in his face.
In this case, his alleged stand against racism has resulted in a veritable explosion of prostitution, including by minors, in broad daylight, an explosion that has been at least a year in the making.
Last summer, Newsome decided it would be a great idea to sign into law California Senate Bill 357, which was clearly passed in the spirit of strip clubs being “essential businesses” during the pandemic.
After all, the bill effectively disempowers the police from doing their jobs when it comes to rampant prostitution in the streets.
“Existing law prohibits soliciting or engaging in an act of prostitution, as specified. Existing law also prohibits loitering in a public place with the intent to commit prostitution, as defined, or directing, supervising, recruiting, or aiding a person who is loitering with the intent to commit prostitution, or collecting or receiving all or part of the proceeds of an act of prostitution. Under existing law, a violation of any of these provisions is a misdemeanor,” the text of the bill begins.
In other words, under previously “existing law,” even California maintained a sense of decency through not permitting prostitutes to sashay all over the place, past schools and children, to boot.
Heck, quite a few prostitutes in California apparently attend middle school and high school in California anyway, so it makes sense that they’d be offering their wares between classes.
Not like they’re learning much anyway in the former “Golden State.”
Apparently, the sensibility of “existing law” offended Democrats, who decided to abolish any sense of decency with the bill.
“This bill would repeal those provisions related to loitering with the intent to commit prostitution and would make other conforming changes. This bill would also authorize a person convicted of a violation of loitering with the intent to commit prostitution to petition the court for the dismissal and sealing of their case, and resentencing, if applicable,” the bill added pompously.
It’s almost like California wants to make sure that prostitutes are as plentiful as the deranged drug abusers roaming the streets, for diversity and equity purposes, of course.
And, speaking of “diversity and equity,” Newsom astonishingly declared that passing a bill that empowers prostitutes would make it easier for underprivileged communities to continue on in their daily activities without pesky police interference.
“The crime of loitering has disproportionately impacted Black and Brown women and members of the LGBTQ community. Black adults accounted for 56.1 percent of the loitering charges in Los Angeles between 2017-2019, despite making up less than 10 percent of the city’s population,” Newsom pompously announced.
Unsurprisingly, Newsom didn’t bother to identify which percentage of certain individuals from certain groups tend to “loiter” more than others, which would naturally lead to more arrests.
So, in other words, the California governor is claiming that a disproportionate percentage of minorities and LGBTQ members are engaged in prostitution, and that he, as the bright shining progressive he is, will pass bills that ensure their primary source of income may flourish without law enforcement intervention.
Even if said prostitutes are literally twelve years old … in a “MeToo” era.
Talk about lack of political self-awareness … Not to mention lack of awareness regarding the most basic consequences that can be expected from such an absurdly pro-prostitution policy for children.
Apparently, some California cities are nearly impossible to walk through now without smacking into one of the women (or, in many cases, prepubescent girls) loitering around.
In remarks to Fox News Digital, National City Mayor Ron Morrison bemoaned the state of widespread prostitution in the state.
“They’re waving to people on the freeway or, just to be honest with you, they are bending over for the freeway. I don’t know how else to put it; they’re showing their wares,” Morrison remarked morosely, observing that most of the young girls were adorned in little more than “g-strings” as they saunter through traffic.
“Those that are out there on the street, most of them are wearing less than what you would consider a scanty negligee. It is just flaunting in everybody’s face. And so a lot of people are screaming, ‘Hey, you know, can’t you get them on indecent exposure?’ And the problem is the way our laws read in this state. The definition of indecent exposure is as long … as the genitals are covered. Anything else is fair game out in public,” Morrison continued.
Pathetic.
What’s even more pathetic, if not sinister, is that Newsom’s ill-intentioned Senate bill is also being cited as one that directly empowers human traffickers.
Given that girls as young as 12 can now loiter as “prostitutes” without police interference, courtesy of Democrat legislation.
Mind you, this is a state eager to take kids away from parents who “misgender” them with the “wrong pronouns” … yet 12-year-old prostitues are apparently just fine.
“A lot of the times [police] found out that these were juveniles … or that they were basically being sex trafficked, and they could get them out of that. Now, they basically have no legal opportunity to even talk to them,” Morrison added.
Little wonder that the Democrats blasted The Sound of Freedom as “fake news” or some other form of “misinformation.”
After all, that film drew direct attention to varied individuals’ implicit, and at times explicit, participation in wide-scale human trafficking.
Which is precisely why Democrats tried to fight its release like crazy.
