Deranged Dem Busted In $99M Dictatorship Deal

Leave it to yet another Democrat to be busted in a rather scandalous business arrangement with a nefarious overseas associate.

None other than Senator Bob Menendez has been busted for corruption, again, following his apparent backchanneling with the dictatorship in Egypt.

Per the official indictment, Menendez was the go-to senator for Egyptian interests, a role that netted Menendez and his wife significant sums of money.

“At various times between 2018 and 2022, MENENDEZ also conveyed to Egyptian officials … that he would approve or remove holds on foreign military financing and sales of military equipment to Egypt in connection with his leadership role on the SFRC” – the Foreign Relations Committee. In exchange, the indictment says, his wife was promised money,” the indictment noted.

So, in other words, the Menendez duo eagerly took in Egyptian bribes, with varied in degree of ostentation.

“Those bribes included cash, gold, payments toward a home mortgage, compensation for a low-or-no-show job, a luxury vehicle, and other things of value,” the indictment prattled on dryly.

Well, how about that. Home paid off, Mercedes bought, and mega gold blocks sought … all in exchange for swinging $99M in arms to certain Egyptian interests.

Astonishingly, Menendez actually texted his wife about sending $99M in arms Egypt’s way, shortly after receiving a number of rich material gifts.

“I am going to sign off this sale to Egypt today. Egypt: 46,000 120MM Target Practice Rounds and 10,000 Rounds Tank Ammunition: $99 million,” Menendez wrote hurriedly in a text to his wife, Nadine.

Amazing, how wealthy politicians can become from working with foreign interests.

Of course, Menendez is presently denying everything, claiming that the facts are apparently “smoke and mirrors.”

“I have been falsely accused before because I refused to back down to the powers that be and the people of New Jersey were able to see through the smoke and mirrors and recognize I was innocent,” Menendez declared indignantly.

Menendez is referring to his 2015 indictment, in which he was ultimately cleared due to jury disagreement.

However, the 2023 indictment sure doesn’t look good, especially with the Mercedes stuffed with gold bars.

Astonishing, Menendez has the gall to blame racism for the latest indictment.

“Those behind this campaign simply cannot accept that a first generation Latin American from humble beginnings could rise to be a U.S. senator,” Menendez said angrily.

Oh, please.

His fixation on his “Latin American heritage” goes even further when he claims that hundreds of thousands of dollars in idle cash, scattered about his house, are due to his Cuban upbringing.

“For 30 years I have withdrawn thousands of dollars in cash from my personal savings account, which I have kept for emergencies because of the history of my family facing confiscation in Cuba,” Menendez proclaimed.

So … the United States is like Cuba? Care to share any more information, Senator?

One thing is for sure: He sure won’t be sharing news of his resignation, despite calls to the contrary.

“I firmly believe that when all the facts are presented, not only will I be exonerated, but I still will be New Jersey’s senior senator,” Menendez brayed.

Way to fold a re-election announcement into commentary on the latest corruption indictment.
