GOP Governor Weaponizes Illegals Against “Sanctuary” State

Looks like virtue-signaling leftists might want to rethink their strategy, especially after becoming besieged by illegals.

New York, which has long been notorious for its self-proclaimed “sanctuary” status, is currently dealing with a massive influx of migrants, courtesy of Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s ingenious busing strategy.

In fact, the migrant crisis has become so bad that woke New York Governor Kathy Hochul has ineffectually told the migrants to “go somewhere else.”

“We have to let the word out that when you come to New York, we’re not going to have any more hotel rooms; we don’t have [the] capacity … We have to also message properly that we’re at our limit. If you’re going to leave your country, go somewhere else,” Hochul brayed.

Alas, migrants will not be going “somewhere else” until Biden bothers to get serious about border security.

In the meantime, Abbott will continue his busing strategy.

In a recent press release, Abbott proclaimed that his strategy’s continuation is a direct result of Biden blowing off the border crisis.

“President Biden’s continued refusal to secure our border invites thousands of illegal crossings into Texas and our nation each day … Texas communities like Eagle Pass and El Paso should not have to shoulder the unprecedented surge of illegal immigration caused by President Biden’s reckless open border policies,” Abbott proclaimed.

Various migrant communities absolutely should not have to shoulder the massive influx of illegal immigration, especially as El Paso recently announced that it is near a “breaking point” with illegal immigration.

“I have directed the Texas Division of Emergency Management to deploy additional buses to send these migrants to self-declared sanctuary cities and provide much-needed relief to our overrun border towns,” Abbott continued, making it clear that Texas is stepping in where the federal government won’t.

“Until President Biden upholds his constitutional duty to secure America’s southern border, Texas will continue to deploy as many buses as needed to relieve the strain caused by the surge of illegal crossings,” Abbott added pointedly, making it clear that Hochul should take up illegal migration with Biden if New York suddenly has such a problem with the illegal migrants that it has long since freely welcomed.

Abbott’s press secretary, Andrew Mahaleris, also found New York’s histrionics rather ironic, making it clear that the defiantly blue state is dealing with a minute fraction of what Texas is dealing with.

“With millions of residents, New York is only dealing with a fraction of what our small border communities deal with on a day-to-day basis. Instead of complaining about 14,000 migrants being bused to New York City from Texas, Governor Hochul should be calling out her party leader, President Biden,” Mahaleris remarked in disbelief.

Alas, taking issues up with the very person who caused the issue would be far too logical of a move for the Dems to make.
