Pelosi Clutches Pearls Over “Puppeteer” Trump

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi may no longer rule the roost, but she sure can’t keep her mouth closed.

Indeed, she recently clutched her pearls over her arch-nemesis, former President Donald Trump.

All theatrics for the media, of course, while she and her husband plot ways to profit from ill-begotten gains in the stock market.

“Today we are on the floor of the House where the other side has turned this chamber – where slavery was abolished, where Medicare and Social Security and everything were instituted – they turned it into a puppet show. A puppet show,” Pelosi brayed dramatically.

Ah yes. Lay on the historical pathos. By the way, Ms. Pelosi, speaking of slavery, which party actually ended it?

Hint: Not the Democrats.

Unlike Democrats, Republicans waged a war against slavery that actually succeeded … unlike the Dem-engineered disaster in Ukraine.

Not that those inconvenient facts stopped Pelosi from her prattling.

“And you know what?’ the octogenarian raged, “the puppeteer, Donald Trump, is shining a light on the strings.”

Hah! Is that so? And who, Ms. Pelosi, would be the individual yanking Biden’s strings?

“You look miserable. You look miserable,” Pelosi boomed, clearly trying to put Republicans on edge.

Actually, if anyone looks “miserable,” it would certainly be her.

After all, she infamously tore up then-President Trump’s State of the Union address in 2020, using an absurd excuse for doing so.

“I tried to find one page I could spare that didn’t have a lie on it … About a quarter through it I thought, ‘You know – he’s selling a bill of goods like a snake oil salesman. We cannot let this … stand. So … I started to stack my papers in a way that were tear-able,” Pelosi ranted at the time.

Rather ironic remark from a Biden supporter. After all, Biden proclaimed, “no more!” right after the Russian invasion of Ukraine … which is still going strong more than a year later.

Far too much money to be made for the “Big Guy” in that one.

According to an aide in an unfortunate closed-door Pelosi session, Pelosi insisted it was Trump tearing up the truth.

“Last night, we saw the president of the United States shred the truth right in front of us. Tear up the truth,” Pelosi boomed behind closed doors.

Right.

House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy clearly has more of a clue about basic decorum, that’s for sure.

“It’s very sad that a person in that position, next in line to the presidency after the vice president … I don’t know of any other speaker that ever acted that way,” McCarthy drawled at the time.

And it’s very sad she continues to wield the influence she does in Congress, given her dreadful track record.
