In case you’re wondering whether or not Hunter Biden will ever face accountability for the longstanding federal investigation into his tax affairs and felony gun charge, wonder no further: He predictably received a plea deal.
A plea deal that is not even a tap on the wrist, never mind a slap.
Needless to say, he won’t face any jailtime whatsoever and will probably pay whatever settlement he clearly agreed to with money laundered from overseas and/or from taxpayers.
Which is now being funneled, at least in part, back into the current federal government.
Quite the strange trail of money underlying the Biden regime, that’s for sure … One can only wonder if the so-called “plea agreement” is really a thinly veiled opportunity for the “Justice” Department to launder ill-begotten funds as well.
Hmm …
Needless to say, a slew of GOP presidential candidates was deeply unimpressed.
One of the top frontrunners, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, blasted the “sweetheart deal” bestowed upon people like the Bidens.
“Looks like Hunter received a sweetheart deal and is not facing any charges on the massive corruption allegations. If Hunter was not connected to the elite DC class, he would have been put in jail a long time ago,” DeSantis briskly proclaimed on Twitter.
Shame he hasn’t. Imagine how much national security would have improved had that occurred.
Former President and leading GOP candidate Donald Trump also reflected upon the astonishing turn of events Fox News Digital.
“They gave him a traffic ticket and cleared everything up. It is a disgrace to the system, it is a disgrace to America, it is a very unfair situation, it is prosecutorial misconduct, and it is election interference – all wrapped up into one,” Trump said disgustedly.
Meanwhile, the Department of “Justice” has apparently indicted Trump for upwards of 37 federal crimes.
Quite the brazenly biased, deeply weaponized federal entity.
Renowned entrepreneur and GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy certainly seems to think so, given his shredding of the federal government following the outrageous, yet all too predictable, slap on the wrist that Hunter received.
“The Hunter Biden plea deal is meant to induce a collective amnesia in the American public. Forget the audio tapes of the alleged bribe for Hunter and Joe Biden from the Ukrainian executive of oligarch-owned Burisma. Forget the ’10 for the big guy.’ Nothing to see here. No jail time for Hunter. And now the administrative state can justify what it did to Trump. ‘Equal’ justice,’” Ramaswamy informed Fox News Digital in disbelief.
Another GOP presidential contender, Nikki Haley, also responded with similar disbelief to the government’s effective advocacy of a two-tiered justice system.
“This plea deal only raises further questions about Hunter Biden’s crimes and the double standard of justice in our federal government,” Haley remarked in a statement to Fox News.
Former California gubernatorial candidate Larry Elder, a black conservative male who the media astonishingly labeled as a “white supremacist,” is also dismayed by the steady march towards a leftist authoritarian state, aided and abetted by brazenly applied double standards.
“The DOJ’s agreement with Hunter Biden, which will see him serve no jail time after pleading guilty to three federal crimes, is yet another example of our partisan justice system … Given the politically motivated prosecutions of Donald Trump and Daniel Penny, the George Soros-supported district attorneys across the country refusing to enforce the laws on the books, and the sweetheart deals for the Biden family, it is clear that our criminal justice system is broken,” Elder wanly remarked to Fox News.
Well, to be fair, Biden sure got a “sweetheart deal” during the 2020 election, when millions and millions of mail-in ballots just happened to be dispersed in the name of a public “emergency.”
On top of that, all the information regarding Hunter Biden’s laptop was brazenly withheld by social media giants and the mainstream media, providing a clear boost to Biden’s campaign.
In fact, the media actually insanely reported that the genuine Hunter Biden laptops were Russian disinformation, using 50+ signatures from corrupt, likely paid off, CIA agents as “proof.”
Indeed, Hunter’s stunning sweetheart deal, in conjunction with all the other passes he routinely receives, unfortunately appears to serve as a harbinger of further (in)justice to come.
Which is precisely why GOP presidential candidate Tim Scott had made no bones about his very real fears for the nation’s future in a statement to Fox News.
“I can’t emphasize enough the importance of the Grassley and Comer investigations, the need for restoring credibility to our justice system, and defeating Joe Biden in 2024. While the Biden family gets a slap on the wrist with kid gloves, DOJ throws the kitchen sink at political opponents, raids the homes of pro-life advocates, and targets parents as ‘domestic terrorists …
I can’t emphasize enough the importance of the Grassley and Comer investigations, the need for restoring credibility to our justice system, and defeating Joe Biden in 2024,” Scott declared.
