Democrat Senator Accuses Trump; Faces Sedition Allegations

On Monday, Democrat Senator Mark Kelly stood before the press and unleashed a wild accusation: that President Trump was trying to kill him. This outburst wasn’t just bizarre—it was an attempt to distract from Kelly’s own serious misconduct. What’s really happening here is that Kelly and other Democrats are facing consequences for encouraging military officers to defy lawful orders from the Commander-in-Chief. That’s not free speech. That’s sedition.

Senator Kelly is part of a group now known as the “Seditious Six.” Alongside fellow Democrats Elissa Slotkin, Maggie Goodlander, Jason Crow, Chris Deluzio, and Chrissy Houlahan, Kelly appeared in a video telling servicemembers they could or must refuse orders. But these weren’t just any orders. These were hypothetical commands from President Trump—lawful orders coming from the commander of our armed forces. The video, now widely shared on social media, shows elected officials openly encouraging troops to disobey their chain of command.

Let’s be clear: encouraging military members to disobey lawful orders is a crime. According to federal law in 18 U.S.C. § 2387, it is illegal to interfere with the loyalty and discipline of the armed forces. And under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), military retirees like Mark Kelly—himself a retired Navy captain—are still subject to court-martial if they commit offenses against military law.

The Department of War, acting according to its duty, has now announced that it is reviewing the allegations against Kelly. They have even stated that court-martial proceedings are on the table. This isn’t political revenge. It’s the rule of law. When someone in a position of power tells soldiers to commit treason, there must be accountability.

President Trump responded by calling out the seditious nature of these actions. He rightly pointed out that sedition is a serious offense—one that has historically been punished to the fullest extent. In the past, America has treated such betrayal not as a misunderstanding or a political disagreement, but as a direct threat to our Republic.

Senator Kelly’s response? He didn’t defend his actions with facts. Instead, he accused the President of trying to “silence” him and even claimed Trump was threatening his life. This is not the behavior of a man with a strong legal defense. It’s the behavior of someone who knows he’s been caught and wants to change the subject.

Let’s remember: no one is above the law. Not even a U.S. Senator. And certainly not one who once took an oath to defend the Constitution and now encourages others to break theirs. The Constitution gives the President, as Commander-in-Chief, the authority to issue orders to our armed forces. That authority is not optional. It’s not up for debate. It is the law of the land.

The American people deserve leaders who respect the chain of command and the rule of law. We cannot allow partisan politicians to turn our military into a political weapon. The military is not a tool for rebellion. It is a shield for our nation, one that must remain loyal to the Constitution and to the lawful authorities put in place by the people.

Mark Kelly and his allies tried to weaken that shield. Now they must face the consequences. The Pentagon is right to investigate. And if the evidence proves guilt, then justice must be served.

In times like these, we must return to the wisdom of our Founders. They knew that the strength of our Republic rests on order, not chaos; on law, not lawlessness. Let us uphold those principles today, without fear or favor.
