President Trump is speaking out after the brutal murder of Iryna Zarutska, a Ukrainian refugee who came to America looking for safety. But instead of finding peace, she found death—stabbed multiple times on a train in Charlotte, North Carolina, by a man who should never have been free.
The attacker, Decarlos Brown Jr., has a long criminal record going back to 2007. He was arrested over a dozen times for serious crimes like robbery with a weapon and felony larceny. Yet time after time, the system let him go. Most of the charges against him were dropped. Earlier this year, he was even released on cashless bail.
This is not justice. This is not safety. This is the result of a broken system pushed by radical left-wing judges and Democrat politicians who care more about criminals than victims. President Trump is right to ask, “What the hell was he doing walking the streets?”
Here is the Truth Social post from President Trump himself:
Zarutska, who fled the war in Ukraine for a better life in America, was caught off guard while riding a light rail train. A video shows her calmly scrolling through her phone before being violently attacked. She did nothing wrong. She was just trying to live her life in peace. And now she is dead, while the man who killed her had already been given chance after chance.
Worse still, reports say that after the attack, the killer shouted, “I got that White Girl.” This was not just a random act of violence. It was cruel, targeted, and hateful. Yet the mainstream media is mostly silent. Why? Because it doesn’t fit their narrative.
President Trump is calling this what it is—a failure of law and order caused by Democrat leadership. He pointed to former North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper, now trying to win a Senate seat, as one of the people responsible. Trump said Cooper and his allies have blood on their hands because of their soft-on-crime policies.
This is not just about one man or one crime. This is about a justice system that has lost its way. When criminals are arrested over a dozen times and still roam free, the system is broken. When liberal judges let violent offenders out on cashless bail, the people suffer. And when the media refuses to report the truth, the public stays in the dark.
Our Constitution gives the states power to keep their citizens safe. That includes the power to arrest, prosecute, and lock up dangerous criminals. But that power is being wasted by left-wing politicians who would rather talk about “equity” than enforce the law.
President Trump is standing up for common sense. He is standing up for victims. And he is calling for real change.
He is also supporting strong Republican candidates like Michael Whatley for U.S. Senate in North Carolina—leaders who believe in law and order and will not allow this kind of tragedy to happen again.
Americans deserve a country where the law is enforced, where criminals are punished, and where innocent people can live in peace. That is what our Founders intended. That is what the Constitution supports. And that is what President Trump is fighting for every single day.
It’s time to put the safety of law-abiding citizens first. It’s time to bring back accountability. And it’s time to vote for leaders who will deliver justice—not excuses.
The blood of this innocent woman cries out for justice. Let us answer that call by restoring law and order in every state across this great nation.
