“Medicaid millionaire.”
A rather paradoxical phrase, no? Unfortunately, the concept of a Medicaid millionaire is not fake news.
Especially as one of them has just been busted, big time.
According to a report from Fox News, Candace Taylor, who hails from Slidell, was arrested following a state Bureau of Investigation, which revealed extensive fraud.
The investigation had been triggered by Taylor – a likely Biden voter – apparently underreporting her income in order to qualify for Medicaid benefits.
Go figure.
Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill was not impressed by Taylor’s scheme, to put it mildly.
“From 2021 through 2024, Ms. Taylor continued to transfer tens of thousands of dollars between her personal and business accounts, with personal inflows consistently exceeding the eligibility thresholds for Medicaid,” Murrill detailed.
The specific nature of the “businesses” run by the 35-year-old Taylor remain unclear, though they have apparently succeeded in netting multiple millions over the last few years … including during the pandemic.
Amazing how Taylor’s businesses managed to thrive while others’ businesses died!
And thrive they did … to the tune of multiple millions.
Over the course of the investigation, the investigators determined that Taylor owned six different businesses that produced close to $10M in revenue between January 2020 and December 2024.
And Taylor hardly reinvested those millions back into the local community … On the contrary, she blew six figures on a Lamborghini Urus.
Typical BLM behavior, in other words.
In addition, Taylor also made multiple six-figure withdrawals via cashier’s checks, which subsequently funded a host of products and services for herself: property, high-end jewelry, cosmetic surgery, and other luxury services.
And while Taylor continued to spend vast sums of money on herself, she simultaneously applied for Medicaid benefits with fraudulent personal information.
For instance, Taylor identified herself as “Candace Sailor” on at least one Medicaid application.
How original.
In an especially egregious move, Taylor reapplied for Medicaid benefits all of two months after procuring her exorbitantly expensive Lamborghini.
Naturally, Taylor claimed that she only made $4,000 per month … at one of her own businesses. Even more naturally, Taylor declined to identify that she herself was an owner at the business.
So, while the media may claim that individuals like tech titan Elon Musk have “earned” worldwide outrage for DOGE, it is important to recall that waste and fraud are very real.
Just ask the Medicaid millionaire.
