Obama Unwittingly Puts Kamala In Her Place Over 2028 Presidential Race

Talk about a tale of two different public spins.

As that is precisely what is occurring now between the camp of Kamala Harris and the camp of Barack Obama.

Or, at minimum, people associated with the camps of either individual.

Recently, Harris nabbed multiple headlines for apparently opting to withdraw from the gubernatorial race in California.

Naturally, speculation is rampant that Harris withdrew her bid from the 2026 race in order to ensure that her schedule is effectively cleared to run for president again in 2028.

And, even more naturally, Harris was quick to issue a swift denial as press speculation ramped up.

According to the Daily Mail, Harris has claimed that she is not angling for the presidency again, though she is angling to spend more time with the American public.

The former presidential candidate also blamed a “broken” system, though she herself was clearly a beneficiary from it.

“No. I don’t want to go back in the system. I think it’s broken …  I always believed that as fragile as our democracy is, our systems would be strong enough to defend our most fundamental principles. I think right now that they’re not as strong as they need to be. I want to travel the country, I want to listen to people, I want to talk with people,” Harris declared during an appearance with Stephen Colbert.

Rather humorously, Harris’s sudden interest in interacting with the American public sure sounds like a rather indirect way of announcing she is running for the president after all.

Considering that the public hardly factored into her celebrity-filled rallies.

However, David Axelrod – a longtime Obama associate and strategist – is less than convinced by Harris’s current proclamations to the public.

As detailed in The Hill, Axelrod believes that Harris’s own statement has made it abundantly clear that she is angling for the presidency, despite her carefully selected words.

“it‘s clear that you read her statement, that she is setting herself up to run,” Axelrod proclaimed.

Without a doubt.

“She will begin as the polling leader in any race for president just by dint of having been the nominee the last time. But a lot of Democrats want to turn the page on all of that and look forward, and so it‘s not going to be easy for her,” Axelrod mused.

Yep. Especially with terrifying types like AOC angling for the presidency …
