Republican Raises Eyebrows Through Startling Partnership With Pelosi

“If the executive branch won’t release phase 2 of the Epstein files, we will. Americans deserve transparency and the victims deserve justice.”

So declared Representative Thomas Massie of Kentucky, who has demonstrated perhaps one of the more unexpected forms of bipartisanship in 2025.

Heck, this bipartisanship actually aligns with the views of Pelosi, of all people.

Which become even clearer when Massie didn’t stop with X – he also informed reporters that “some of Trump’s friends” are likely named in the files.

“The thing about the files that everybody needs to understand is there are probably lots of names in there who haven’t done anything criminal, and so there’s a reluctance to release these files because of the embarrassment just having your name on the news in these files. And I always presumed that there were at least some of Trump’s friends named in this, and that might be why,” Massie remarked.

Nonetheless, Massie is a proud co-sponsor of a bill that will reportedly force the DOJ to release the Epstein files, whether they’d like to or not.

Tellingly, Massie is collaborating with several Republican and Democrat representatives on this particular political initiative.

Ironically, Massie appears to be unwittingly siding with none other than former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who has also made headlines as of late for her own flip-flopping on the Epstein files.

While Pelosi previously grumbled that the Epstein files were a mere “distraction” – ironically mimicking Trump himself – the high-ranking Democrat reportedly changed her mind … as evidenced by her rather lengthy commentary on X.

“The crimes of Jeffrey Epstein and his enablers shattered countless lives and exposed a vast system of exploitation and violence against women and girls. For years, Epstein’s victims – many of them just children when they were abused – have waited for justice, often in silence and in pain. They deserve answers. They deserve dignity. And they deserve action from their government,” Pelosi asserted.

So, in other words, the Republican Massie and Democrat Pelosi are on the same page. As if the Trump administration did not have enough headaches already.

Even stalwart MAGA allies appear disgruntled with the approach to the Epstein files thus far – including those who have stood beside Trump with virtually every other policy that he has made thus far in his second term.

One such individual is conservative influencer Laura Loomer, who issued her own scathing commentaryregarding the entire Epstein saga on X.

Apparently, Loomer is less than impressed by the fact that the DOJ intends to interview top Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell shortly – and she made her position quite clear on X.

“Today’s statement by Pam Bondi seems like a massive cope. Why wasn’t this ‘interview’ with Ghislaine Maxwell done on day 1?” Loomer demanded.

Adding fuel to the fire, clearly.

“I guess what I want to know is whether the DOJ is basically saying they have never met with Ghislaine Maxwell to ask her or interview her about whether she has information about sex crimes committed against minors… Shouldn’t they have already done this?” Loomer pressed.

Perhaps. Though who knows what is really going on behind those closed, rather powerful doors.

The same doors that influencers like Loomer have been attempting to have a look behind for ages.

Loomer is notoriously linked to the sudden ouster of the Air Force General Timothy Haugh from the National Security Administration (NSA) mere months ago, and her rather public irritation with the Trump administration over Epstein has been a tad surprising, to say the least.

And if Loomer and likeminded influencers continue to press the Epstein issue, it is highly likely that the Epstein saga will not die down, despite Trump’s express desires.

Massie himself also noted this possibility

“I think this issue will not dissipate. I think it will grow over the August recess,” Massie declared.

And will that issue continue to grow throughout the year?

Perhaps … especially if Maxwell spills some major – and verifiable – dirt.
