So that is where the bruises really came from.
In recent days, President Donald Trump has attracted growing concern for more than one physical indication of potential illness.
These indications included reported swellings spotted on his legs, as well as apparent bruises spotted on his hands.
And they have been spotted enough that Karoline Leavitt – the White House press secretary – has officially weighed in on the bruising.
“I know that many in the media have been speculating about bruising on the president’s hand and also swelling in the president’s legs. So, in the effort of transparency, the president wanted me to share a note from his physician with all of you today,” Leavitt announced.
That was quite the unexpected announcement … as well as a troubling one, given the news to follow.
According to a report from The Hill, the White House did indeed reveal quite a bit more.
As detailed in The Hill, the White House released physicians’ records that revealed that Trump currently has “chronic venous insufficiency,” which is a condition that emerges “when a person’s leg veins struggle to pump blood back to the heart, causing blood to pool.”
In other words, Trump is definitely suffering from some physical challenges, which are to be expected for someone at his age.
Heck, it is amazing to consider the stamina that he does reportedly have, given the demands of the presidency, the public, and all the other elements of a given political administration.
Of course, quite a few other observers are quick to analyze whether or not the “whole picture” is being revealed.
For instance, The Hill quotes Barbara Perry, a presidential historian and professor at the University of Virginia, who insists that the public needs to know the real state of Trump’s health.
“Do we have complete information now? We don’t know that. We only know what they have told us, and we have to presume that it is accurate,” Perry remarked, wryly commenting on the “sudden turnaround” from the White House.
Well, shouldn’t the public know that about every president’s health?
Including that of Trump, and of all the presidents who preceded him.
Not to mention politicians’ real allegiances, but those are oftentimes too difficult to diagnose.
Seems like one thing after another is dogging Trump in the media these days.
Outside of the understandable scare regarding Trump’s physical health, the media has certainly had a field day with Trump’s various policies on the domestic front and the international front.
And, rather obviously, the relentless commentaries regarding Jeffrey Epstein show no sign of dying down.
Especially given the degree to which former “First Buddy” Elon Musk has taken clear pleasure in the crisis, scoring a sweet deal with the Pentagon while simultaneously needling Trump over his ostensible connections to Epstein.
Heck, Maxwell herself is apparently set for an imminent interview with the DOJ, which Trump startlingly agreed with.
Now, given the sudden health issue that Trump is currently grappling with, one can only hope that any forthcoming news from White House physicians paints a rosier picture for the future.
