Looks like Senator Bernie Sanders simply cannot get enough of himself following the shocking upset that Ugandan radical Zohran Mamdani pulled off against former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
Mamdani defeated Cuomo in the recent Democratic primary for the mayoral race in New York City, much to the amazement of various political observers.
And, rather audaciously, Mamdani referenced Nelson Mandela in his victory speech.
“In the words of Nelson Mandela: it always seems impossible until it’s done. My friends, it is done. And you are the ones who did it. I am honored to be your Democratic nominee for the Mayor of New York City,” Mamdani brayed.
Naturally, Sanders was sure to gloat over Mamdani’s victory, going as far as to claim that mainstream Democrats will end up driving the party to the same fate as the Titanic in an eyebrow-raising interview.
Now, Sanders is likely to set even more people off with his latest and not-so-greatest commentary.
Notably the commentary that criticizes the campaign run by former presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
As noted by The Hill, Sanders apparently believes that if Harris copied Mamdani, she would be president today.
“Look, he ran a brilliant campaign. And it wasn’t just him. What he understood and understands – campaign’s not over – is that to run a brilliant campaign, you have to run a grassroots campaign,” Sanders asserted.
Yeah. A “grassroots” campaign largely reliant on social media nonsense.
“So instead of taking money from billionaires and putting stupid ads on television, which the people increasingly do not pay attention to, you mobilize thousands and thousands of people around the progressive agenda that speaks to the needs of working-class people and you go out and you knock on doors,” Sanders continued.
Right. In other words … more social media driven madness.
Moreover, for someone who likes to take private jets to “Fight Oligarchy” rallies, does anyone really believe that Sanders is knocking on any non-billionaire’s door?
Or perhaps he will settle for multimillionaires.
“And if somebody like a Kamala Harris had not listened to her consultants and done that, she would be president of the United States today,” Sanders sniffed.
Bet Harris is thrilled to hear that one … Considering she was all but expected to be president by varied celebrities and deranged elites.
As everyone is now aware, that expectation was not exactly fulfilled.
Awfully arrogant commentary on Sander’s part, to be frank.
But what else is to be expected from a reported multimillionaire with a lifelong dependency on the government dole … amongst other indirect “benefits” that all long-term politicians seem to have “achieved” while allegedly “serving” the people?
