Looks like AOC is stuck with major league egg on her face … again.
And, rather predictably, that egg smacked right into her condescending countenance after her third effort to have President Trump impeached.
“The President’s disastrous decision to bomb Iran without authorization is a grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers. He has impulsively risked launching a war that may ensnare us for generations. It is absolutely and clearly grounds for impeachment,” AOC ranted on X.
Well, regardless of whatever limited legality her argument may have – especially limited in the wake of similar actions undertaken by prior administrations – it would appear that just about every single Republican, not to mention multiple Democrats, staunchly disagree with her.
As reported by Fox News, Senator John Fetterman was less than impressed by AOC’s input.
“Of course, no [he should not be impeached] … She knows it. I know it. We all know it… that’s not going anywhere. He’s been impeached twice, and now he’s still our president as well too, so it’s not going anywhere, and I don’t think [bringing it up is] helpful,” Fetterman asserted.
Nope. It is not helpful in the slightest, that’s for certain.
And more than one Fox News reader rapidly reached the same conclusion.
“What did she think when Obama went into Pakistan and took out bin Laden without Congressional approval? Both bin Laden and Iran’s nuclear weapon program were threats to the U.S.A.,” one commenter queried.
An excellent point.
After all, all that happened to former President Obama was being flagged by Human Rights Watch, which blasted his “shaky legacy” on human rights … and literally no one called for his impeachment.
Fetterman’s input to AOC should not be terribly surprising, considering that he already took direct issue with other “unhinged” Democrats in the past.
For instance, Fetterman blasted Representative Al Green for his outrageous behavior in March – so outrageous that even other Dems censored him.
Naturally, Green was the one who actually filed articles of impeachment against Trump, though AOC certainly did her fair share of the dirty work with her typical rabble rousing on social media.
Apparently, that’s the only “skill” that AOC has to offer, as she apparently can’t even hire a competent enough staff to ghostwrite articles of impeachment for her.
Little wonder that 128 Democrats voted against her and Green during the third impeachment effort against Trump.
Frankly, the power of impeachment will become absolutely useless if it remains as resoundingly abused as it has been for the past few years.
