Trump Issues Explicit Response To Musk’s Apologetic Overtures

Perhaps one of the most bizarre political controversies in recent history is none other than the sudden spat between President Trump and Elon Musk.

The spat – which was highly public and highly inflammatory – caught the world by surprise, especially as the war of words deteriorated to especially unfortunate lows.

Perhaps the worst comment that Musk issued was that Trump was on the Epstein flight logs, which was presumably the “real reason” that the Epstein files have not been released in full.

Needless to say, such claims did not sit favorably with the president.

Nor did they sit well with numerous Americans who support the president, as evidenced in the results of polls taken after the highly public war of words between Trump an Musk.

“A poll released by YouGov on Tuesday suggests that Musk’s influence among Republican voters may be waning amid the feud. Musk’s net favorability among Republicans fell to +39 from +58 the week before, according to the poll.

Sixty-seven percent of Republicans viewed Musk favorably, while 28 percent viewed him unfavorably. This compares to 76 percent who view him favorably and 18 percent who view him unfavorably in last week’s YouGov poll,” Newsweek reported.

Yikes.

Little wonder that Musk appears to have eaten some major league humble pie in recent weeks as the fallout from their feud has deeply intensified.

Undoubtedly throttling his already beleaguered companies, which have suffered in the wake of his DOGE efforts.

However, Musk has now issued a series of mea culpas on social media.

In his postings, Musk is sure to emphasize the degree of his “regret.”

“I regret some of my posts about [President Donald Trump] last week. They went too far,” Musk declared in a post on X.

On his part, Trump has responded quite favorably to Musk’s public apologies.

“I thought it was very nice that he did that,” Trump declared.

Have to hand it to them. Making up during the massive protests in Los Angeles – especially amid the deployment of the Marines – is most certainly one way to change up the most trending stories in the media.

Trump also noted why Musk’s opposition to him should not be all that surprising, as Trump himself recognized the opposition as a potential problem before.

““Honestly, he never ever spoke to me about that. And I used to say, ‘I’m amazed that he’s endorsing me because that can’t be good for him,” Trump queried.

Trump also noted that Musk frankly became downright “strange,” though he appears to be recuperating.

““I actually asked him, because it was like really strange that I’m with him, a friend of mine, and he makes electric cars and we’re saying… you’re not going to be forced to make all of those cars,”

Fortunately, it would appear that strangeness is giving away to saneness.
