Once again, the United States has notched another victory in national security.
At least in terms of illegal migrants.
Indeed, none other than the second administration of Donald J. Trump has won in a big way in terms of a big objective that began on Day One.
And that objective involved clearing out hordes and hordes of illegal migrants, which was quite the tall task, given the exponential number of illegal migrants that poured over the border during the
As detailed in a recent report from Fox News, the Trump administration has smashed expectations for removing illegal migrants from the nation.
Touted as the “100-day illegal immigration crackdown,” Fox News provide ample insight into the rapidly declining border crossings under Trump, which is one of several major victories the administration has touted at this historic milestone.
Especially historic for the officers who have long been hamstrung by the Biden administration.
“We are in the process of carrying out the largest deportation campaign in American history. After four years of being vilified by the Biden-Harris administration, our heroic ICE officers can finally do their jobs,” the White House press secretary declared.
It is safe to say that ICE officers most certainly feel comfortable doing their jobs.
After all, the number of “known” got-aways has declined by at least 96 percent under Trump.
Which is undoubtedly why Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Chief Tom Homan is certainly beside himself with delight.
How could he not be?
After all, relative to the performance of past “Border Czar” Kamala Harris, Homan is a veritable superhero in terms of curbing illegal migration.
“Look, I started on the Border Patrol in 1984. I’ve been at this for over 40 years. I’ve worked for six presidents, starting with Ronald Reagan. Every president I’ve ever worked for took border security seriously because you can’t have national security if you don’t have strong border security. We’ve gotta know who’s coming, what’s coming, where its coming and why it’s coming in, right?” Homan boomed.
Well, yes.
In nations that care about the well-being of their citizens, not to mention their own norms and traditions, in any case.
However, while the decline of illegal border crossings by upwards of 96 percent is literally worth writing home about, it is also worthwhile to consider the real “root cause” of the massive influx of illegal migrants in the first place.
And that root cause is the direct result of the rather dubious immigration policies of the Biden administration.
One of the most startling moments of Homan’s interview with Fox News occurred when he noted the key difference between Bush, Obama, and Biden in terms of illegal immigration – whereas two presidents attempted to do something, one president attempted the opposite.
More specifically, as detailed by Homan, Biden was the “first president in the history of this nation who came into office and unsecured the border on purpose.”
Yikes.
That’s quite the characterization.
Though given the record number of illegal border crossings – not to mention effective red carpets from sanctuary cities – is it really that farfetched to envision that said migrants may have received a helping hand or two (or hundred?)
To be very fair, however, it is important to remember what Obama himself said before.
In 2021, Obama rather baldly declared that Biden was merely “finishing the job” of his own administration, as reported by multiple sources.
“I think that what we’re seeing now, is Joe and the administration are essentially finishing the job … And I think it’ll be an interesting test,” Obama proclaimed in 2021.
“An interesting test?” Is that so?
All of the sudden, Homan’s “on purpose” claims have additional credence.
