That’s one way to put Iran on major edge.
Indeed, while much of the world has been distracted by trade disputes, the conflicts in the Middle East are as hot as ever.
Which the Trump administration remains well aware of … and, for that reason, has made perhaps one of the best possible appointments for the ambassadorship to Israel.
According to a report from Politico, none other than Mike Huckabee, one of Israel’s most longest-standing allies, has become the official American ambassador to one of the nation’s most important allies.
“Mike Huckabee, a staunch ideological ally of Israel, was confirmed by the Senate to serve as the United States’ ambassador to the country on Wednesday. The former Arkansas governor and two-time presidential candidate was tapped by President Donald Trump for the post just after the November election. He has never previously worked in a diplomatic or national security role for any U.S. administration,” Politico observed.
However, he has extensive experience in Israel specifically, which may well trump myriad experiences everywhere else.
“Huckabee has been a longtime supporter of Israel, which he has said is rooted in his religious faith. He’s visited Israel more than 100 times,” Politico continued.
Indeed, Huckabee’s love for Israel is very well known … and directly lauded by the Jewish community.
For instance, JNS identified Huckabee as one Israel’s “Top 50 Christian allies” back in 2020.
“Mike Huckabee was a pastor before becoming the governor of Arkansas. He also ran as the Republican presidential candidate in both 2008 and 2016. Huckabee travels to Israel frequently and has led solidarity tours to the Holy Land,” JNS detailed.
Which makes him a perfect ambassador for the Holy Land … and an excellent stalwart against Iran.
“As a Bible-believing Christian, I stand with Israel because God promises to ‘bless those who bless Israel and curse those who don’t.’ The hand of God is evident in the restoration of the land He gave His people when he gave the Jewish people the title deed. From the time of my first visit to Israel in 1973, I have had a love for the land of the Bible and the people to whom God entrusted it,” Huckabee declared.
Not to mention a strong desire to protect the Holy Land.
Little wonder that the Israeli government is thrilled.
“Congratulations to my dear friend @GovMikeHuckabee upon being confirmed as the next ambassador of the United States to Israel. This is a great day for the Israeli-American alliance,” Prime Minister Netanyahu proclaimed on his X account.
May that alliance continue to strengthen!
