Talk about a symbolically epic move against those who have long worked against the interests of huge swathes of Americans.
As reported by Fox News, President Donald Trump is quite keen on eliminating varied individuals’ access to classified information.
An especially important interest when accounting for how lucrative the effective sale of classified information may have been for varied political entities.
Such as Biden and Co., for instance.
That said, quite a few politicians have easily been on the take for decades, which is one of many reasons why Trump has wisely decided to revoke the security clearances of individuals who really should not have such high-level security clearances.
In an official memorandum – “Rescinding Security Clearances and Access to Classified Information from Specified Individuals” – the White House makes it abundantly clear that quite a few individuals will no longer have access to classified information, in very short order.
“I have determined that it is no longer in the national interest for the following individuals to access classified information: Antony Blinken, Jacob Sullivan, Lisa Monaco, Mark Zaid, Norman Eisen, Letitia James, Alvin Bragg, Andrew Weissmann, Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Cheney, Kamala Harris, Adam Kinzinger, Fiona Hill, Alexander Vindman, Joseph R. Biden Jr., and any other member of Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s family,” Trump declared in the memorandum.
Quite smart, really.
Frankly, has it ever been in the national interest for Clinton to have top level security clearance? How about Kamala Harris, Letitia James, or other DEI Democrats?
Not to mention “any other member” of Biden’s family … especially as Biden’s varied family members seemed to have a funny habit of getting quite wealthy from doing “business” with other nations.
Which is precisely why Trump is so thorough in his memorandum.
“This action includes, but is not limited to, receipt of classified briefings, such as the President’s Daily Brief, and access to classified information held by any member of the Intelligence Community by virtue of the named individuals’ previous tenure in the Congress,” the memorandum added.
In other words, all possible avenues in which classified information could be received, no matter how damaging that receipt could be for national security.
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard reiterated Trump’s points in her own social media messaging, making it clear that she promptly followed through with the president’s request.
“Per @POTUS directive, I have revoked security clearances and barred access to classified information for Antony Blinken, Jake Sullivan, Lisa Monaco, Mark Zaid, Norman Eisen, Letitia James, Alvin Bragg, and Andrew Weissman, along with the 51 signers of the Hunter Biden ‘disinformation’ letter. The President’s Daily Brief is no longer being provided to former President Biden,” Gabbard tweeted.
Naturally, several media outlets have been critical of Trump’s decision.
For instance, Politico argued that Trump was persecuting his “perceived enemies.”
Ironically, however, Politico also admitted that none other than former President Joe Biden himself also took advantage of his ability to revoke national security clearances of varying levels for varying individuals.
“Barring Biden from intelligence briefings is a tit-for-tat move after Biden banned Trump from accessing classified documents in 2021, arguing he could not be trusted because of his ‘erratic behavior,’” Politicoadmitted.
Well then.
Seems Trump is not acting that out of bounds after all, given that Biden himself pulled the same moves, with little fanfare.
Thus, the wildly different media coverage illuminates just how insidious its influence truly is in this regard – whatever the media portrays is considered the truth, and what the media portrays can be supremely “dis-informative.”
