In recent days, varied media outlets, along with many perennially enraged Democrats, has been furious at President Donald Trump for refusing to back down from an Obama-backed judge’s verbal command to return a plane filled with illegal criminals back to the United States.
Never mind the fact that the Obama-backed judge has utterly disregarded the will of many American criminals, which is for illegal criminals to be out of the nation, pronto.
The rage expressed by the media is all the more ironic when considering that the Dems themselves are apparently inclined to throw out anyone who does not agree with them – including long-term Democrat leaders such as Chuck Schumer.
That’s right: After voting to prevent a government shutdown, Schumer now finds himself being shut down within his own party.
Indeed, The Hill reports that Schumer is currently “facing the toughest fight of his Senate leadership career amid sharp attacks from his party’s base over his vote to advance a House Republican-drafted funding bill.”
Naturally, AOC, otherwise known as a paid Soros shill, was one of the biggest rabble rousers, proclaiming Schumer’s “huge slap in the face.”
However, AOC was hardly the only “progressive” calling for the removal of someone who dared to disagree with them.
In a report from Politico, Tiara Mack is apparently angry that Schumer has now cancelled various town halls over literal fears for his safety.
Mack is a member of the steering committee of the group Pass the Torch, a progressive group that developed last year in an effort to urge President Joe Biden to drop his reelection bid.
Now, Mack is apparently wishing for Schumer to “pass the torch” of Democrat leadership to someone else, presumably someone more likely to play ball the way that the ultra-liberals like.
“Those are the same tactics the GOP is doing right now, to cancel their public town hall meetings because they don’t want to answer constituents. Chuck Schumer doing the same thing … does not speak highly to the courage or the strength of the Democratic Party leadership,” Mack ranted.
Well, given how insane many are acting these days, is it any surprise that Schumer is fleeing from his own constituents?
After all, they’re acting quite possessed.
Along with some of Schumer’s colleagues, who are also joining in the course of calls for Schumer to resign.
As detailed by The Hill in a separate report, Democrat Representative Glenn Ivey blasted Schumer’s decision to vote in favor of keeping the government open as “a disaster.”
Despite admitting that shutting down the government would have been a major problem anyway.
In response to NewsNation’s Blake Burman’s inquiry about whether or not Schumer should “step down,” Ivey merely responded, “we’ll see.”
During a town hall, as reported by Yahoo! News, Ivey was even more forthright.
“I know shutting down the government is not good, I’ve tried to oppose it every time I could, but in this particular instance, it was something that we needed to do,” Ivey mused, “I respect Chuck Schumer. I think he had a great, long-standing career, did a lot of great things … I’m afraid it may be time for Senate Democrats to choose a new leader.”
A new leader? How about an entirely new strategy?
Indeed, Senator Sherrod Brown is clearly aware of how much the Democrats have “strayed” from the values they used to be known for.
“We must reckon with how far our party has strayed from our New Deal roots. How we see ourselves – the party of the people, the party of the working class and the middle class – no longer matches up with what most voters think,” Brown tweeted.
You don’t say …
Perhaps the Dems should focus on revamping their entire strategy rather than revamping their leadership … especially since many leaders apparently have nothing new to say.
