Over the past few weeks, varied companies have been terminating DEI initiatives left and right after the Trump administration came to power.
Much to the delight of beleaguered Americans who hardly feel “privilege” when they are actively discriminated against, all due to having the wrong skin color in the Dems’ deranged eyes.
Many of these DEI initiatives had been related to the recruitment, retention, and promotion opportunities for a broad array of “diverse” candidates, though quite a few other DEI initiatives remain to be uncovered and dismantled.
Which is exactly what just happened quite recently.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, a classic, all-American company has rejected another form of DEI: scholarships designed exclusively for Hispanics.
“McDonald’s is changing scholarship program after a lawsuit from a conservative activist. The 40-year-old HACER program, which has awarded over $33 million to 17,000 students, previously required applicants to have at least one Latino or Hispanic parent. As part of the settlement earlier this month, that requirement is being removed,” the Daily Mail detailed.
About darn time. Especially as that decision discriminated against White and Black individuals.
The lawsuit had originally been brought forth by the American Alliance for Equal Rights, which was founded by a conservative attorney, Edward Blum.
Blum also spearheaded the case that had been brought forth against affirmative action last year.
“So non-Hispanics – including non-Hispanics with severe financial need and racial minorities like blacks, Arabs, and Native Americans – are flatly barred based on their ethnic heritage. This kind of discrimination was never lawful,” Blum declared.
Without a doubt.
Yet that type of discrimination continued for year after year, until it was forcibly subjected to legal scrutiny.
Frankly, the decision of McDonald’s to make its scholarship program open to individuals of all backgrounds, regardless of their race or their parents’ race, truly is the fairest move to make, period, regardless of the legalities involved.
After all, imagine the media uproar if McDonald’s put together a scholarship program for individuals who “have at least one White parent.”
Though, rather hilariously, Obama would qualify for that one, given that his mother is White.
Fortunately, McDonald’s, along with many other companies, is hopefully totally finished at this point with DEI madness, especially as that movement has done nothing of substance but divide Americans even further.
Not to mention make quite a few other critical activities potentially less safe, especially inherently risky or dangerous activities related to air traffic control or military reconnaissance.
With the abolition of DEI, companies and organizations may well make good-old fashioned merit great again.
Now that’s a real “happy meal” that everyone of all backgrounds can get excited for … and hopefully that happy meal trend will continue well into the future.
