Liberals Fly Into A Rage Over Potential Peace In War-Ravaged Ukraine

Liberals Fly Into A Rage Over Potential Peace In War-Ravaged Ukraine

Leave it to the liberals to become angry over bloodshed ending.

As that’s exactly what they have done

“Great talks with Russia and Ukraine yesterday. Good possibility of ending that horrible, very bloody war!!” President Donald Trump proudly declared.

Trump’s declaration directly referred to to the seemingly endless, horribly bloody war that has engulfed Ukraine for nearly three years.

You know, the one former President Joe Biden implied would be over in all of a few weeks’ time … back in early 2022.

Trump, however, may have more success, especially given his recent conversations with both sides.

As reported by the New York Post, Trump recently spoke with both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, neither of whom appeared to express an intense desire to keep the terrible bloodshed going.

Trump also noted that he might personally meet with Putin, which may further expedite the end to the war.

“We expect that he’ll come here, and I’ll go there, and we’re going to meet also, probably in Saudi Arabia,” Trump mused.

Naturally, varied individuals were prompt to express outrage, from former foreign leaders to former Trump officials, as detailed by the Daily Mail.

John Bolton, who served as Trump’s former national security advisor during his first term, was sure to declare that Russians, and Russians only, were celebrating the potential end to the war.

“I tell you they’re drinking vodka straight out of the bottle in the Kremlin tonight. It was a great day for Moscow,” Bolton declared.

Not to mention a great day for Ukrainian families tired of many Ukrainian men being forcibly enlisted as cannon fodder.

Plus, “drinking vodka straight out of the bottle” just about anywhere in Russia is likely a nightly (and daily) occurrence anyway.

The pretentious former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt was event more snarky in his commentary, comparing Trump to a worse version of Neville Chamberlain.

“It’s certainly an innovative approach to a negotiation to make very major concessions even before they have started. Not even Chamberlain went that low in 1938. That Munich ended very bad anyhow,” Bildt sneered.

With respect, Munich is a rather different situation than Kiev (or Kyiv) to put it mildly.

Especially as the “very major concessions” that Bildt referred to have already been outlined … in agreements from over ten years ago.

In particularly the concession regarding NATP membership.

Indeed, the Budapest Memorandum of 1994 and the Minsk Agreements of 2014 have frequently been cited by a more informed readership over the real complexities of Ukraine.

And while the language in both documents is subject to interpretation, most of the mainstream media’s lemmings probably are not even aware of their existence … and their significance.

However, the agreements have been written about for years, in particular the risks that would arise if different clauses were disregarded.

For instance, a report from Chatham House, published approximately 15 months before Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, details precisely why Ukraine’s accession to NATO would be a major league problem with Russia.

Indeed, as part of the most recent round of agreements, between the two powers “Ukraine would write a neutrality clause into its constitution.”

And that “neutrality” clause is rather obvious.

“The implications for Ukrainian foreign policy would be far-reaching. A neutrality clause in the constitution would rule out NATO accession,” Chatham House reported.

So, in other words, Ukraine was asked to remain neutral over ten years ago.

The Trump administration is calling for that same neutrality, yet such neutrality is now being labeled a “major concession.”

Guess the Minsk Agreement, which was struck during the Obama administration, is no longer acceptable to the Democrats, despite their own emperor playing a huge role in its creation.

Even the Chatham Report noted that Ukraine’s membership in NATO would be very unlikely, even if the nation had not been bound to neutrality.

“The chances of Ukrainian accession to NATO are close to zero in any case, given the opposition of several NATO members,” the 59th footnote detailed.

Of course, with Trump now in power, those pesky neutrality clauses, overseen by none other than Obama, are now portrayed as “major concessions.”

Interestingly, respected international relations scholar John Mearsheimer also declared that “the Ukraine crisis is the West’s fault” in a brutal report, which skewered former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Joe Biden for their role in the escalating crisis.

That report, like the Minsk Agreements, was also crafted in 2014.

Naturally, Zelensky, who has enjoyed billions in “aid,” doesn’t want those inconvenient little agreements brought to anyone’s attention.

“Enough of the Budapest Memorandum. Enough of the Minsk agreements. Twice is enough, we cannot fall into the same trap a third time,” Zelensky roared.

Easy to say when he’s not on the frontlines himself … nor is he one of the less privileged Ukrainians being yanked out of bars and forced to fight in a battle that will most certainly be lost.

Seems like quite a few agreements and scholars were warning of the very real dangers of provoking unnecessary war with Russia.

Whether or not Russia would have still invaded Ukraine absent these provocations is a matter of debate that will likely never get resolved, but one thing is for certain: Neither the United States nor the European region did much to de-escalate the situation.

Naturally, the raging liberals across both continents expect police to magically “de-escalate” even if their lives are at imminent risk, yet they apparently believe that senselessly escalating tensions with Putin is apparently a great idea.

Perhaps it’s a great idea if one is loaded up on stocks linked to the military-industrial complex, as members of both sides of the aisle of Congress reportedly are … including stocks that directly benefited from Biden’s multi-billion dollar “aid packages.”

For everyone else devoid of such insider knowledge, war is nothing but complete chaos and misery … for both “sides.”

In any event, may long overdue (and long lasting) peace unfold across Europe sooner, rather than later.
