It is truly quite amazing how differently agencies and departments can operate depending on who is in charge, which has been quite evident in the weeks since President Donald Trump began his second term.
Under the Biden administration, the Department of Justice (DOJ) behaved in an incredibly skeptical manner, especially with stalking conservative parents at schoolboard meetings.
Now, under the Trump administration, the DOJ is focusing on far more threatening targets than conservative parents: The DOJ is focusing on questionable FBI agents who may have exhibited untoward behavior on January 6, 2021.
Naturally, several questionable FBI agents have launched a class action lawsuit against the Trump-led DOJ, which ironically draws even more attention to their questionable behavior on January 6, 2021.
According to a report from Blaze Media, the entire commotion with the lawsuit started when acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove asked for information regarding the thousands of FBI employees who participated in the January 6 investigations.
Bove’s request was not unusual, as confirmed by the current FBI leadership team.
Indeed, acting FBI Director Brian Driscoll noted that the DOJ “a review process to determine whether any additional personnel actions are necessary.”
“We understand that this request encompasses thousands of employees across the country who have supported these investigative efforts. I am one of these employees,” Driscoll noted.
However, other employees apparently felt differently than Driscoll.
Now, a total of nine FBI employees have now a class-action lawsuit against the DOJ, hilariously claiming that they were being politically targeted.
“Even if they are not targeted for termination, they may face other retaliatory acts such as demotion, denial of job opportunities or denial of promotions in the future,” the lawsuit alleges.
Oh, the irony, given all the “retaliatory” measures Trump faced for daring to run for president again.
The lawsuit proceeds to note that there are “at least 6,000 current and former F.B.I. agents and employees who participated in some manner in the investigation and prosecution of crimes and abuses of power by Donald Trump, or by those acting at his behest.”
A claim that further supports widespread commentary on the “swamp” and its massive tentacles throughout the nation’s capital.
After all, if 6,000+ FBI agents really did add fuel to the fire of January 6, 2021, then it’s fairly clear that a major league house cleaning is in order.
However, Bove disputes the assertion that 6,000+ agents could really be guilty of malfeasance, noting that the agents who avoided overt political weaponization would be facing termination or any other penalty.
“Let me be clear: No FBI employee who simply followed orders and carried out their duties in an ethical manner with respect to January 6 investigations is at risk of termination or other penalties,” Bove declared.
Exactly … which means that the nine FBI employees may as well have announced their guilt through filing a class action lawsuit against the DOJ, of all entities.
“The only individuals who should be concerned about the process initiated by my January 31, 2025 memo are those who acted with corrupt or partisan intent, who blatantly defied orders from Department leadership, or who exercised discretion in weaponizing the FBI,” Bove pointedly remarked.
So, in other words, any FBI agent that followed the lead of (wannabe) Empress Pelosi is toast.
Now if only her role in the events of January 6 would be investigated in more detail …
