World Leader Threatens “Forceful” Response Against Trump’s America

World Leader Threatens “Forceful” Response Against Trump’s America

“Canada has been very abusive of the United States for many years.”

President Donald Trump made this bold declaration when announcing a series of tariffs on Canada over the weekend.

While many think of Mexico as a major conduit for drugs into the United States, Canada has also served as an equally problematic player.

After all, illegal migration through the northern border surged alongside the migration through the southern border during the Biden administration, in large part because Canada has rather liberal asylum laws.

Hence the executive order regarding tariffs on Canada in response to the nation’s inadequate control over its own migration.

The executive order – “Imposing Duties to Address the Flow of illicit Drugs Across Our Northern Border” – highlights the real challenges that are ongoing with “the sustained influx of illicit opioids and other drugs,” which has resulted in “profound consequences,” which include “endangering lives and putting a severe strain on our healthcare system, public services, and communities.”

The order also noted that smugglers, human traffickers, and gang members all “poured across our borders and into our communities.”

“Canada has played a central role in these challenges, including by failing to devote sufficient attention and resources or meaningfully coordinate with United States law enforcement partners to effectively stem the tide of illicit drugs,” the order continued.

Yep.

What is especially amazing is that Canada was more militant about shutting down truckers’ right to free speech relative to vetting the migrants that streamed into its territory. Many of whom proceeded to stream on to the United States.

“A Nation without borders is not a nation at all.  I will not stand by and allow our sovereignty to be eroded, our laws to be trampled, our citizens to be endangered, or our borders to be disrespected anymore,” the order asserted.

Hence the consequences of tariffs.

“This national emergency requires decisive and immediate action, and I have decided to impose, consistent with law, ad valorem tariffs on articles that are products of Canada set forth in this order,” the order added, making it rather clear that Canada can no longer get away with its “abusive” treatment of the United States.

Of course, outgoing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was enraged, threatening a “forceful” response against Trump.

“Now we don’t know precisely what that could look like, but I do know two things. First, if the president does choose to implement any tariffs against Canada, we’re ready with a response. A purposeful, forceful, but reasonable, immediate, response,” Trudeau huffed.

By all means, Trudeau. Show Trump how “forceful” you can apparently be.

“It’s not what we want, but if he moves forward, we will also act,” Trudeau added,

Well, Canada has already acted … dramatically in favor of China, a major source of the fentanyl streaming across the border in the first place.

And what’s even more amazing is Canada’s reportedly preferential treatment of Chinese banks, at least relative to American.

“They don’t allow our banks. And you know that Canada does not allow banks to go in, if you think about it. That’s pretty amazing. If we have a U.S. bank, they don’t allow them to go in,” Trump remarked.

Well, Canada sure has allowed banks from China, for whatever reason.

“Bank of China Limited established its Toronto Representative Office on September 8, 1992. Bank of China (Canada) (BOCC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of China Limited, incorporated in Canada as a Schedule II Bank, officially started its operation on May 18, 1993,” Bank of China declared on its official webpage.

So, over thirty years now. Interesting.

The BOCC is also apparently a member of the Canada-China Business Association, the Canada-China Business Council, the Canadian Bankers Association, the Canadian Payments Association, and the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC).

And then Americans wonder why so many issues also exist north of the border …
