You know that President Donald Trump must be doing something right if even mainstream media is having difficulty criticizing him.
After all, what are liberal news commentators going to say? Are they actually going to criticize Trump for commencing the mass deportation of criminal illegals from the United States? The same types of illegals who could end up murdering American citizens?
At this point in time, that would probably be going too far for even the most leftist commentators – heck, not even AOC appears to have gone there yet – so that leaves them grasping at straws over what to criticize.
So, rather predictably, the mainstream media has fallen back on that same, rather tired, rather militant ideology – transgenderism.
Apparently, the media is now offended that one of Trump’s executive orders could “threaten” people’s right to defy biological reality on their passports, namely by putting an “X” in place of “M” or “F” for gender.
Naturally, the “X” option emerged during the Biden administration, in which Americans could arbitrarily change their passport
Never mind the fact that the vast majority of nations on this planet would not even recognize “X,” but the media also fails to recognize that most Americans, including many Democrats, are probably not truly concerned about how many different letters can represent how many different imaginary genders on official government documents.
“Trump two-gender edict will upend ‘X’ identity on passports,” CNN fretted.
The horror!
CNN then proceeded to rant and rave over the “Defending Women From Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government” – who knew they were such misogynists? – while simultaneously defying biological sense.
CNN was sure to exhibit the most upset over the facts, presented in the executive order: “Sexes that are not changeable, and they are grounded in fundamental and incontrovertible reality.”
Apparently, that fact is offensive to CNN.
CNN then proceeded to rattle off all the problems with the executive order, which apparently revolve around forcing a person to be honest.
“All government agencies will ensure that official documents, including passports, visas and Global Entry cards, ‘accurately reflect the holder’s sex,’ the executive order says. Also, departments running federal prisons, migrant shelters, rape shelters and other ‘intimate spaces’ will be directed to protect single-sex spaces for privacy. And employee records will also adhere to the executive order, as will federal departments’ messaging,” CNN complained.
Oh, wow.
So, employees have to be honest about their real biological sex? Again, the horror!
Perhaps the most absurd part of the “report” (if it can be called that) was CNN’s complaint regarding the fact that the government apparently won’t be wasting any more funds on militant gender ideology.
Quoting a Trump official, the network noted the following changes under the Trump administration: “Agencies are no longer going to promote gender ideology through communication forms and other messages … federal funds shall not be used to promote gender ideology.”
Per CNN, this official’s position is an apparent problem.
From the sublime to the supremely ridiculous.
Of all the problems going on in the United States, not to mention the broader world today, “gender identity” on American passports is what CNN chooses to fret about?
Seriously?
Apparently, the network is serious, and apparently furious about the fact that that Trump has ushered in far more respect for “the science” of basic human anatomy than the Biden-Harris administration ever did.
Frankly, the Biden-Harris administration may well have unwittingly (or purposefully?) endangered American citizens abroad through such a deranged gender identity openly displayed on one’s passport.
After all, what would happen to such Americans if they happened to end up in nations deeply hostile to the LGBTQ+ movement?
One could argue that such Americans would probably not travel to such nations in the first place, but what if their plane is forced to make an emergency landing and passengers must disembark? Then what?
Furthermore, from a national security standpoint, who is to say that multiple illegals might not choose to identify as “X,” thereby making them even harder to trace, identify, and discuss in the future?
In general, the addition of “X” to American passports in the first place was yet another ridiculous idea that the Biden administration shoved down Americans’ throats, which is precisely why Trump angled to undermine the idea from Day 1.
So, CNN can huff and puff over gender identity on passports all it wants.
In the meantime, Trump will continue getting things done …
