“Arroz con racket.”
So declared a recent New York Post headline, namely with regards to a rather unsavory operation run by multiple dozens of illegal migrants in New York City, a veritable epicenter of mass migration.
While several illegals have nabbed headlines for assaulting police and robbing tourists, others have engaged in more insidious endeavors … including causing grave harm to hardworking construction workers through deeply unsanitary cuisine.
“Up to 50 migrants at a time squeeze into a tiny kitchen to cook the grub, which is then delivered in coolers by van to the illegal street sellers,” the New York Post reported, with regards to Guisa’o Restaurant in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
Wow.
What a change from a city that demanded COVID vaccine cards to enter a restaurant all of two or three short years ago.
Needless to say, Councilwoman Joann Ariola, a Republican from Queens, was deeply unimpressed.
“People really need to know the story behind the food they’re eating when it comes to these illegal migrant vendors. These aren’t just kindly old ladies making meals in their home ovens. This is a mass operation with dozens of illegals crammed into a filthy, violation-riddled kitchen in Bushwick, churning out food by the caseload to sell on our streets,” Ariola warned.
Yep. Totally and completely unsanitary, to say the least.
In addition, such illicit behavior completely undermines businesses that operate honestly, as Ariola also detailed.
“This is truly disgusting, and I think if more people knew that their quick ten-dollar lunch was actually from a jam-packed kitchen . . . strewn with vermin droppings and who knows what else, they might think twice before ordering off the guy on the corner. And it’s cutting into local businesses, too, impacting the bottom line of shops trying to do the right thing and sell food the right way,” Ariola remarked angrily.
Seriously. And selling food “the right way” usually means adhering to a modicum of cleanliness.
Which illegal migrants have also disregarded.
As reported by the New York Post in a separate article, “swarms of flies,” alongside an untold number of vermin, apparently pervade the deeply unsanitary kitchen of Guisa’o Restaurant.
Indeed, a recent health probe from the city found that the restaurant “is not free of harborage or conditions conducive to rodents, insects and other pests.”
United States Representative Nicole Malliotakis, whose district includes Brooklyn, is quite aghast at the currently shameless behavior exhibited in Brooklyn, though she is not at all surprised.
“It should come to no surprise that illegal immigrants would conduct illegal activity. They have no regard for our nation’s laws,” Malliotakis remarked disgustedly.
“Democrats who let them in and use hard-working citizens’ tax dollars to give them free housing and benefits are to blame. Come January 20th, the Trump administration will work diligently to clean up the Democrats’ mess and deport those committing crimes,” Malliotakis declared.
And not a moment too soon. Especially as the government may strike deep into the heart of sanctuary cities and states.
“It should come to no surprise that illegal immigrants would conduct illegal activity. They have no regard for our nation’s laws,” Malliotakis continued.
Without a doubt. From operating prostitution rings to poisoning construction workers with vermin-laden food, it seems that the illegal migrants are not exactly the immigrants that the Founding Fathers had in mind.
Which is precisely why more than one person is all in favor of forthcoming President Trump’s mass deportation promises.
“Democrats who let them in and use hard-working citizens’ tax dollars to give them free housing and benefits are to blame. Come January 20th, the Trump administration will work diligently to clean up the Democrats’ mess and deport those committing crimes,” Malliotakis continued.
Of course, the woke brigade in New York City is continuing the rather pitiable trend of blaming the Biden administration, conveniently ignoring the fact that asinine sanctuary city policies – coupled with cash handouts – are a huge source of the problem in the first place.
Alas, a representative for the beleaguered Mayor Eric Adams offered a fairly discouraging assessment of the current situation with vermin-laden food.
“In addition to issuing health code violations we’re looking into what more can be done,” the Adams rep declared.
“What more can be done?” Is this guy for real? How about terminating the sanctuary city policies that led to the crisis in the first place?
Now that’s a real root cause … that “Border Czar” Harris failed to determine.
Most hilariously of all, the Adams rep placed much of the blame on the federal government, exemplifying one of the many circular firing squads dominating the Democrat party as of late.
“But make no mistake, instances like these are exactly why the mayor has been calling for Washington [DC] to fix our broken immigration system, where people come into the country but aren’t legally allowed to work,” the Adams rep raged.
Well, gee, imagine that. People arrive illegally and cannot legally work? The horror!
“We’ve helped nearly 85,000 new arrivals apply for work authorization, asylum and temporary protected status through our nation-leading Asylum Application Help Center, but comprehensive immigration reform at the federal level is needed,” the Adams rep added pompously.
Glad to know the Adams administration is especially focused on helping hundreds of thousands of migrants.
Is it any wonder that Trump made deeper inroads in New York City than expected?
